Is this the same stadium that Iran played their friendlies prior to the world cup?

He might in the second half but in the first half he's gonna go full force.

I don't think he will test new players against a team like Chile.

Me neither. That's what friendlies against South African clubs are for, remember. And furthermore, what new players remain? We had several new players fielded during the Arab Confederation Cup.

I don't think it's very smart to test younger players for friendlies against teams of Chile and Sweden's caliber. Save those testings against the lower ranked teams or perhaps 2nd. tier Asian teams.

Although we all say friendlies results don't matter, but as soon as one of our teams gets sooraakh by any of these world class teams, most you folks who claim friendly results mean nothing, will immediately jump on the bandwagon and resent the team and its coach, I for one want us to use full squad at least against these 2 strong opponents, so that we display a good football and gain more international respect for our football!

Having said that, anybody remembers our embarrassing 4-1 loss to Mexico in pre AC 2007 preparation friendly in Mexico where GN decided to field an almost a B TM roster? I never understood the purpose of that friendly, if we're to fly thousands of miles overseas to play only one match, why not use it wisely and take the main team which will be used in the upcoming tournament?

Doubt it, they're very anti-Iran since they're run by Qatar. They didn't have any Asian Cup coverage, but as soon as Iran lost to Iraq, it was the first thing in their headlines.

Gol TV might show the Sweden game, they've shown some in the past. Til then, check here:

Sweeden and chilie have the power to sour aka our aka us even with our A team so CQ will never put our B team there for those 2 games

Guys, just to let you know: I called at the NV Arena (the stadium at which the game is supposed to take place) today and I've been told that it's still not 100% sure if the game is going to take place there or not. Apparently, some contracts have still not been signed. Nevertheless, the guy told me that it's very likely that it's going to happen. Therefore, obviously, it's still not possible to buy tickets yet. Will update you as soon as I know more information.

Ok so there's an other update from my side. I called at the NV Arena yesterday and I've been told that the game is going to happen and that tickets can be bought online.

I'm just a little confused as CQ himself was saying yesterday (or two days ago - not sure) that he still doesn't know if the game is going to happen or not. On the other hand, you can normally trust Austrians when it comes to organizational stuff.

However, here is the link: http://www.oeticket.com/de/tickets/f...rformance.html
