WC In Qatar, Brutal for Football fans across the world, Except Iranians

I understand why the world cup in Qatar would suck for normal fans, Nov/Dec games
disrupt the European club season & Champions league games
Not a traditional football country, Qatar will occupy a spot of a deserving team
Muslim country, Workers problems ETC
How would Iranian fans suffer? Doha to Tehran is a few hour flight, and there are many Iranians there now, so what they may use a false term of the Persian Gulf, but Iranians will make sure everybody knows whatt he right name is during the games.. Look at the advantage Argentina had at the world cup in Brazil, Every game was a home game for them and would probably be a home game for Iran every match in Qatar as well.. Only 1 country can benefit other then Qatar and thats Iran.. (If we qualify)

It's definitely going to be an advantage for us since it's only an hour flight away from Iran. However It's gonna be really tough to qualify to world cup 2022 since Qatar has already taken a spot of Asia already. That leaves 3 direct spots which Iran, Australia, Japan and Korea will fight for it and 0.5 spot to play either against another continent. That's why I think increasing the number of teams to 40 would be good for Asian and Africa.

It will be very tough to qualify if Asia only has 4 spots, but this is the closest we would ever come to having home games in a WC

I understand where you're coming from but I think this advantage still wouldn't be worth it. Qatar does not deserve to be in the World Cup let also me host it. The Persian gulf abuse has already started, and the workers conditions are inhumane.

I would love in December as it is summer time here in Australia, hence 6 weeks holidays as well to fully enjoy all the WC.

Some of you North American/ European boys have it easy with the WC. It's also summer holidays for you guys so you can enjoy without any interruptions.

In Australia however, I had to wake up around 3:30 am to watch Iran and Argentina, Try to sleep after the match, only to wake up looking like a zombie at 5:30 am ready to go to school.

Doha is so close that they can fly the same day early morning and fly back after the game. Also it's world cup, they'll give visas to everyone.

Qatar is a third world Muslim country like Iran and doesn't deserve to host the world cup. There are going to a lot of restrictions for the tourists going to world cup 2022. For ex like how many alcoholic beverages tourists will be able to have and if men and women can kiss in public to other things. It was a very foolish idea to begin with there is no sort of freedom in Qatar or any arab country...

One positive is that during Sept - Nov of 2020 and 2021, there will likely be a slew of top international teams wanting to arrange a friendly with us, be it in Tehran or Qatar, UAE, KSA, etc. This could be both vital for our own preparations and development as well as lucrative if the IFF can negotiate properly (here's to hoping).

Are you sure about this? For WC 2014 they were 5 teams + Brazil.
