Great move. They should suspend the IFF until this is corrected.

That is the only way to force them to change.

They should award Iran AFC Asian Cup 2019 on the condition that Iranian women are allowed into stadiums from now on.

I WAS THINKING EXACTLY THE SAME! Also the possibility of Confederations Cup 2021 in Iran could be also a pressure-modul...

Just like how IR forces different rules on our people, Fifa should do the same. They should tell IFF if you don't allow women in any stadiums, you can't take part in any international competition until this issue is resolved. There would be so much pressure from media and people on IFF and government and they will have no choice but to allow women into stadiums.

If they do that, then after the AC, all the officials will do a public tobeh and the ban will be reinstated.

unfortunately FIFA has shown how corrupted it is, otherwise any normal organization would not put up with this BS. FIFA should suspend IFF til this is corrected.

FIFA and the activists should not focus only on Iran, but make this rule for every nation, i mean, in Saudi Arabia and other arab countries also no woman attent matches, or are allowed to drive a car....

There should be some laws for all over the world, not only against iran...

But i agree Woman in Stadium could be a good pressure-tool to give them Asian Cup or Confederations Cup...

This is a great idea ONLY if applied across all FIFA nations rather than ALWAYS putting the spotlight on Iran whether right or wrong.

But the question is; are we able to reform the footballing cultural norms which have accumulated throughout the years in Iran? Its one thing to just open the doors for female spectators, families etc. But have the appropriate foundations been prepared to deal with the aftermath? Can it be ensured that once women and families attend matches they are in a family friendly and female safe environment?

An eye for an eye makes the world go blind. This will embolden IFF and IR to say the world is against us...this is not a smart move. Bring attention to the plight, but don't hurt our teams, particularly our already struggling federation women's and youth program. I think the (social) media campaign has been effective, and the response outside of Iran has clearly put the heat on officials both within the government and in the federation. Let's not stifle progress with hostility.

If you all think Fifa will force Iran to have women in their stadium you are mistaken. The reality is that Fifa is useless holding up ethical or moral lines. For example the Qatar and bribing.

There is no benefit for them to allow woman into the stadium or remove Hijabs from women soccer. They really don't care that much about it and don't make any money from it. The only person who should make this change is the IFF itself and not Fifa.

I wouldn't call it a hostile act. Iran would have no choice and it would only support those calling for this to happen and give them strength. Not to mention people in the IR and IFF have already stated that this should happen.

They already did it to Iran once in the past and Iran caved, and that was under AN when they suspended the IFF for gov't interference in 2006.
