It doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon, so for all intents and purposes you can scratch him off the team because I'm cure CQ will find a good replacement for him pretty quickly (Khanzadeh's a pretty good candidate already).
yea, i think if anything this bs SARBAZI issue could be his only possible undoing in TM..!!
ATM, he is Still just about the best LB option for CQ and barring Sarbazi issues, im fairly certain he will be selected to all foreseeable CQ call up lists..!!

He's one of our best players, of course he should be invited again. One red card & everyone freaks out...

eehmm... he played very solid both at WC and AC, including the Iraq game till he was sent off. So, yes he should be invited again.
Besides, currently he is probably the best LB in whole Asia.

Yes, he is still the best LB we have by far IMONE and going forward his experience and quality will be heavily relied on by TM. He will be one of the guys that will be taking on a bigger leadership role with Nekounam heading out of the team.

IMO he didn't olay pooy in the AC I'm not sure where that sentiment came from. He wasn't a star like he was in Brazil but definitely not poor. It's true he did somewhat mentally lose control in that Iraq game making a few questionable decisions but I think that was probably the biggest lesson he has learned in his life and I hope/assume it won't be repeated.

Jamaati is far too inconsistent (with the exception of this season of course) to be mentioned in the same category. Also some of you must be forgetting that he had his shot in TM a couple of times in the last year or two but never managed to solidify a spot, I think that says something. Also in the comparison of jamaati to Pooladi....jamaati isn't nearly as good at dealing with all sorts of forwards the way Pooladi is (quick, strong, combination....you name it, Pooladi can handle them).

Just as Carlos Queiroz trusted Pouraliganji to start and become a fix player in the national team, he should trust Mehrdad Jamaati and see what he can deliver.

Why not test him vs Chile or Sweden?

Did i miss something? What did he do to not be invited ever again?
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

the correct question is: Will he ever be allowed to play for TM?

he has officially evaded military service despite promising to return to Iran after the AC. There's a chance he may get arrested if he comes back to Iran.

Not if he promise to play for a military base club like Abu muslim or Malavan.

In Iran everything is possible and things happen for no reason. As I recall, he was not eligible to go the Asian games and TM and staff talked our government officials into allowing him to play under one condition and that was for Pooladi to return to Iran and join one of the eligible SEPAH teams. Since he went back to Qatar, he has been barred to ever play for TM.
That being said, there is a strong possibility CQ can get him to join the team again, I HOPE.

Yes, until he is the best left back in Iran he should be playing.

That's how you know your team is screwed up, when your star defender that was playing just a few months ago isn't on the team anymore...

He lacks sufficient emotional intelligence, and that is a huge liability when it comes to the big stage. I would look for a better substitute, someone with all parameters in place.

If he truly promised to come back to Iran after the AC and resolve his Sarbazi, and did not, then he is really asking for it.
