به عنوان میزبان جام ملت*های آسیا در سال 2019 انتخاب شد.

به گزارش ایسنا، مسئولان کنفدراسیون فوتبال آسیا پس از چند ماه بررسی و بازدید از دو کشور ایران و امارات در نهایت امارات را به عنوان میزبان هفدهمین دوره جام ملت*های آسیا انتخاب کردند.

امارات در سال 1996 نیز میزبان جام ملت*های آسیا بود که توانست به فینال این رقابت*ها راه یابد. این در حالی بود که یوسف السرکال، رییس فدراسیون امارات امروز در مصاحبه ای قبل از اعلام رسمی میزبان جام ملت*های آسیا عنوان کرده بود که مطمئن است امارات به عنوان میزبان جام ملت*های آسیا انتخاب خواهد شد.

خبرگزاری رویترز، ابتدای هفته* جاری عنوان کرده بود اگر ایران به عنوان میزبانی در تورنمنت*های مهمی مثل جام ملت*های آسیا است باید به بانوان اجازه دهد تا به ورزشگاه بروند اما کفاشیان گفته بود مشکل اصلی ایران در راه میزبانی جام ملت*های آسیا " حق پخش و اسپانسرینگ" است و نه حضور بانوان در ورزشگاه*ها.

It's not surprising. They have better stadiums, hotels, airports, public transportation plus they allow women to go the stadiums without a problem. Plus it's much more fun for attendees. they have beautiful malls, bars and clubs. It's gonna be fun.

May be a better desicion since we struggle to let women in

Imagine all the protests and boycotting threats if we were to host a major tournament

Even during TM games there is a lot of protest to let women into stadiums

No surprise actually but khodaro shokr, imagine what kind of aberoo rizi a major tournament in Iran would be.

UAE as AC host is MUCH MUCH better than Iran as UAE has MUCH MUCH better facilities, tourist infrastructure and a massive marketing budget to put Brazil 2014 to shame!! In Iran, IFF doesn't even have the proper funds to lobby AFC nor create professional marketing material to woo them! Also, ironically, its 100 times easier for Iranian fans who live in Europe or Americas to travel to UAE than it is to travel to Iran!! due to political or military service issues, Plus, Iran playing in UAE is like Iran playing in Iran! I was in UAE during the 1996 Asian cup and stadiums were filled by IRan fans the rest of the games remained relatively empty. Iran has 'home' advantage in UAE!

Iran needs to continue to build more modern stadiums, hotels and proper legislation on foreign tourists, before we host anything .....
