So I went to renew my residency and the officer asked me "Do you study? I said No. Do you work? No" He said visa denied." In Dubai you either have to work or study, you can't be just chilling there even though you were born and raised there. I finally managed to get my visa renewed for another year and that time I knew this is not a place that I can call home. I had to do something and thank god I managed to move to US.
There was no security in Dubai for me. It's a transition place. However I'm still greatful for living there since it was definetly a much better option than living in Iran. I had a lots of freedom which my friends and family in Iran didn't.
Still with all those experiences that I had I'm supporting AC 2019 in UAE because of the infrastructure that they have. You can't compare their hotels, airports, malls, stadiums or anything with Iran. It's going to be an interesting Asian Cup just like Australia.

Its a pirate coast, where you work, have fun, make some money and leave!...
I visited dubai 2 years ago and oh man it has gotten so expensive compare to 2009-2010.

Last summer I was there. People are tired but have no energy to change this regime. So many talented people artists, well-educated who remained there are depressed and refuge in alcohol and drugs. I lost two dear and extremely smart friends to drugs. I was there for a someone medical condition and the doctor was begging for the likes of us to return to Iran. He was saying more and more educated people, professional talents (technicians, artists, craftmen, ...), skilled workers, businessmen are leaving the country. He felt IR is doing this on purpose so they can rule over the crowd with less hassle. He told me many of his fellow doctors and nurses left the country in past 4-5 years. You go to the line for bread or sit in a taxi or bus and you hear the misery of the people. Metro is like a open market, full of people selling "from chicken milk to human life" then you have the beggars coming at you insisting to give them something. I even saw young dudes singing and a girl dancing for money... it was just ....
@ everyone: Some people are so angry that Arabs won the bid for AC 2019 or UAE call their league as Arab Gulf. I am not saying to be emotionless toward this but what is the point of showing some documentary of UAE Arabs abusing some South Asian workers (which is awful by the way) while we know the situation of our own people plus the miserable life of illegal Afghanis in our homeland?! Have you seen many kids working on the street washing windshields, selling flowers, gums, candies, water, smoking esfands, or standing by a scale?! Just check any park in the town to see poor lads and gals. go there after 11 pm and see addicts and poor sleeping on the corners. So many people sleeping on a piece of card board. I saw middle class or rich young people are only after having fun and money. Nothing matters for them anymore. They got immune to the image already.
I went to Bame Tehran. I thought I perhaps get some good air and see people smiling there. I was in a group of young friends. As soon as I reach there it begins again, the face of poor kids begging, people fighting over who look at their women or passenger not paying the bus fare. You walk until you reach to an open area with many restaurants and shops. There you see another picture. Very beautiful young girls 16-20 are waiting for costumers! My pals said look over these are our new export products and they looked away in shame... (you can find many more in street of Tehran waiting for cars). We ate something there and got food poisoning. You can trust no one there specially with food product. Even decent looking restaurants use cheap or spoiled food.
Older generation are all regretting the past, many of them are sick or beaten to the age. Those in 30s or 40s are doing the job. Most of people in 20s doesn't have a proper job. Our younger generation is getting delusional, materialistic to the bone and less productive.
We should remove this regime or more generations will burn in that hell. Now, go blame Islamic Republic not others. When our own government doesn't respect our people how do you expect other nations respect us?! You need a source of power to back you up in this situations and our people do not have one.
Just imagine the feeling of North Koreans: Nobody really like them or take them seriously. In airport they probably have it even worst than us. They come from a country that is hated by most of the world. They have been treated like crap by their government and still should say nothing when they are treated wrongly outside. If in a match between their country and any team, a penalty or any thing unjustly happens, how they are going to react?! they don't even have access to internet to show their feeling or talk about their stories. How many games have been held in N.Korea since 1953? Now who is to blame for this? South Korea? Japan? US? or the rest of the world?

We are not stupid here
I believe %99 of us here at persianfootball forum knew that Iran will not get the Bid to host the Asian cup
and quite frankly we dont deserve to host it anyway
just look at the UAE stadiums and Hotels and try to compare it to Iran's ??? what a joke guys we got no infrastructure to host anything right now
as much as i hate to say it and admit to it , UAE should have gotten it

to be honest I am very happy for this why you might ask?
because I really do not want the world to see Iran and Iranians the way it is in Iran. I rather not host any events if we cannot be fair to our own people.
I think it is even better for the players as in UAE we will have a similar situation as in Australia where women and men will come to support TM in the most fashionable way. I am sure we will look 100 times better aesthetically outside Iran then inside. As I really do not want the world to talk about our women and why foreign women are allowed but Iranians not?
and our TM also performs better outside Iran and as we saw we performed very well last time around in 1996 in UAE, so I am OK with this till one day we will really have the capacity to host international events.Last edited by webmaster; 03-09-2015, 07:54 PM.__________________________________________________ ________________________________________
