That's interesting, I wish there were more government like Sweden's, that take care of all people that reside in that country, equally, no matter what ethnic background
But I guess each to his own. Call me crazy, but it's just that I value equality and freedom more than I do getting a free house after getting married, if I myself am originally from that country, and so is my wife.

If you live in Sweden, don't you have both? I hear the Scandinavian countries (Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark) are among happiest places to live!

I do live here. I was poking fun at his post for wishing for such a government when there are government's like the Scandinavian ones.

I mean we can't even play Western pop songs in our stadiums FFS!
Yes... and that will get fixed by continuuing to isolate Iran?

Typical Iranian bazi. Complain about Arabs and then be happy for another excuse to give Arab countries money and investment.

Then how do you want to fix the problem your Iranian style?
Current Iranian infrastructure is not capable of a competition in this level. We will make a bad impression if we host the games. Then we grow bad reputation which ruins the future tourist industry or chances for future competition!
We don't know what will happen next year, this is how stable our country or our abilities are! We don't have enough financial resource to pay the footballers in our local team, our national team cancels friendly matches and camps for lack of funds, the national team kit is provided by a fake second rate sport company in Dubai to fill their packets! How many standard stadiums or hotels do we have? 50% of our population is banned to watch the matches, stats for accidents in the roads due to low standard roads, cars and careless driving are among highest in the world and pollution and traffics are even worst. How do you want to fix those?

We need to have something in place to make our case or have a proposal!

What you are suggesting is like going to a business meeting with no proposal, price range, job description, or back up! It will be doomed from the beginning. For playing a game we need to know the rules first...

We wont win any international tournament until we allow women into our stadiums.

Whoever in Iran that put a bid for this or even considered Iran winning this should be fired. If you've never seen a game in Iran you can't say anything. We don't have seat numbers in our biggest stadium.

The whole issue is that there is no imperative or incentive for the gov to spend money on football. Just look at how many bazaar and privately funded projects are built well and quickly.
Every major tournament that is held in Iran (even tournament such as the World Youth Volleyball Championships, or Asian Volleyball Championships or World League volleyball or World Wrestling Championships...) cause the government to make some important investments in sport.
2 years ago most IRIB exectuives would look at you like a clueless child if you asked them about HD coverage. Simply because of these tournaments alot of equipment is being upgraded and we now finally have 2 test HD channels in Iran that will hopefully soon be 24/7 and available worldwide.
The NAM conference for example was held in Tehran 3 years ago - because of that many hotels were renovated, a few new ones were built, huge upgrades and clean up of the city were done, traffic measures were put in place...
all to impress a bunch of foreigners.

What I am saying is, regime does not care if they look like shit in front of our own people - the only way they actually push for alot of good works to be done is if international eyes are on them.

Just look at football in Iran! No club, no person, no authority gives a f*** about finishing stadiums because there is zero money in it for them. Only one team has any sort of vision and that is Foolad and they are smart enough to know if they want a good stadium they have to build it themselves.

I am sure the restriction about Iranian women entering stadiums, would have been removed had it been a condition for Iran getting the Asia Cup.
Azadi Stadium, Samen, Naghshe Jahan, Yadegare Imam... all these stadiums could have been cleaned up and renovated.
Infrastructure can (and is) being built every day in Iran surprisingly well.
Even hotels and tourist infrastructure can be improved.
Besides AFC does not give a fuck about tourists or attendance. Do you think they're thinking of tourists and night clubs when awarding the tournament to Qatar or UAE or... All that matters is TV advertising revenue - and unfortunately we don't have that kind of partner in Iran, where as the Arabs have BeIN sports which works hand in hand with World Sports Group which is essentially a shady organization with people well connected to FIFA.

There is no merit or review or analysis done on these things. Its all about which fat fuck got a rolex and which fat ass*ole got a bentley and....

But as I said people are free to go spend their money on Arab sheikhs (whether they were around 1400 years ago or they're alive now!).

One sentence, all those you mentioned should be ready before placing a bid for competition not just want to do something afterward!

As they are going to accept whatever we say as fact
                    1. Hey no problem my friend we fix those crappy old hotels, we are even going to make another burj ul arab and many more 5 star hotels with best services here.
                    2. No problem habibi, there will be several high standard stadiums with modern technology high capacity ready for matches we promise just believe us.
                    3. We are gonna make all roads, traffic lights and signs perfect, when you come here in 2019 you think you are in Germany not Iran
                    4. Habibi we are going to buy many new buses and expand subway we promise.
                    5. My friend since foreign women are allowed to come to stadium, we are going to hire hottest European models as cheer leaders to entertain everyone
                    6. We are going to ban using cars in Capital and major cities for 2 years to make sure the air is clean and we wash all street with golnar soap! all will be clean just like natural forest!
                    7. Dont worry about high quality coverage of the matches we buy all equipment from Japan and strike a good deal with AFC and FIFA
                    8. We are going to make huge shopping centers with best available brands and services free for all tourists and football fans
                    9. Free foods and beers after each match will be distributed among audience.
we promise all and we are thinking about more gift and services just give us the competition and don't worry about it. Habibi

And I'm saying AFC doesn't give a f*** about standards of excellence and football investment and... It is not about the standard of the tournament or logistics for them... for goodness sake or 2004 team had to sleep in an airport lobby due to shit travel and logistics by the Chinese organizers.
This development you mention is an excuse. Billions and billions of infrastructure and tourist industry spending so what? 5000 tourists total (maybe) show up for the tournament. Even in a decent country like Australia almost all those going to the games were people who live in Australia. Asian football doesn't have a travelling culture.
As I said previously, if we had lobbied like the Arabs do instead of actually being naive enough to think bids matter, this would have been much closer.

Either you are right or not the bid is gone to UAE and we have no influence nor the back up in AFC at he moment. Case closed.

Yes they should be thankful to expats for building their economy but it was ultimately their own leadership that led to their success. Unlike Iran and even US, they spend their money wisely on growing their economy. They have the best airline in the world, best hotels, best malls, best buildings.

I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

In Sweden everyone pays taxes 30-60% so they should all expect to get treated equally. In Dubai there's no income or corporate tax so they can do whatever the hell they want. None of us would be complaining if our government was treating their own citizens the way UAE is doing.

UAE is simply a good government for their own people only. If you have a Swedish passport the chances of you getting a job is a lot higher than an Iranian, Saudi, Indian and so many other nationalities. So if you're smart you can move there, find a decent job, make money, build your business and move to wherever you'd like.

I dont understand why people like you try to glorify these countries like Uae and Qatar so much. Imagine if Iran was a quarter of the size of Khuzestan but all the oil was still there. So Iran has all that money from oil, a small population, and just 1 or 2 main cities. You really think they wouldnt be able to build some big buildings, malls, and hotels?
