True but they're working and investing on their teams. At least they put their money where their mouth is.

You hear so many Iranian coaches come out and say that we should invest in our youth but nothing happens. You know why? The Iranian mentality wasn't build for long-term investment. Iranians like to a see return on their investment within 2-5 years. If you invest in a youth team, you're not gonna see a return for another 10-20 years.

No I don't because of the poor leadership in Iran. If the revolution wouldn't have happened, then the situation would have been very different in Iran. Perhaps most of the current investments that are happening in UAE, would have been made in Iran instead.

You don't think team strength and particularly fan base should be taken into account when picking a host?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Football is a very popular sport over there and I'm sure they're gonna fill out their stadiums for their own games at least. Plus you have a lots of Australians, Japanese, Koreans, Chinese and other Arabic countries living there so a lots of people will attend different games.

People in Iran are not attending stadiums like they use to. Remember Iran-Uzbekistan game in Tehran where we lost 1-0? I think only 30,000 people attended. Have you seen our league lately? No one is attending games anymore. So I'm sure they have taken everything into consideration and as much as I would have loved Iran to host the Asian cup, I think they made a wise decision.

There really is no comparison between our fan base and theirs. And regarding your theory refer to attendance at the 2011 games in qatar.

Naft Masjed Soleiman, promoted team from Azadegan, has an average attendance of 5,000 (in a 8,000 seat stadium), Im pretty sure that's more than the total attendance of months of league games of all UAE teams together + their national team games, our ACL teams have one of the highest attendances among all Asia as well every year Attendance is the least of our problems bro, it actually should be considered as a strength. When the games matter, a mass always comes.

There are not lots of expats living in Qatar compared to UAE. There are lots of Iranians living in UAE so I'm sure it's going to be a good Asian Cup.

Yes that's because they just recently were promoted to IPL. Look at Sepahan and Zob Ahan for example. Their games used to be packed as well and now they barely go.

You pointed out to something really well. Nowadays people go to stadiums whenever the games matters. I remember 3 years ago when Perpsolis was in Asian Champions League people were filling out the stadiums for every single game in Tehran. Now they could barely fill the first floor.

what do you think issue is? Why aren't our fans as dedicated as they use to be?

The games of Iran are played at times when people are at work

Because people are not as free as they used to be, many have to work harder, for longer hours and care for food, rent, and their families more (no more subsidies and blooming market), and football fever is cooling down. People' priorities have changed.

I think UAE and Iran matches are going to be the most attended matches for sure. Do you think if the asian cup was in Iran, Iranians would go and watch the other games? Very few maybe. People in Tehran don't even go watch Perspolis, Esteghlal and even most of TM games let alone watching matches from other countries.
