People should be fed up with IR and be ready to die for freedom of Iran, otherwise this won't happen. People are poor, hopeless, less educated, trapped in a closed society, and sometimes psycho! I have seen it all. Every time I travel there I lose more hope.
Last summer I was there. People are tired but have no energy to change this regime. So many talented people artists, well-educated who remained there are depressed and refuge in alcohol and drugs. I lost two dear and extremely smart friends to drugs. I was there for a someone medical condition and the doctor was begging for the likes of us to return to Iran. He was saying more and more educated people, professional talents (technicians, artists, craftmen, ...), skilled workers, businessmen are leaving the country. He felt IR is doing this on purpose so they can rule over the crowd with less hassle. He told me many of his fellow doctors and nurses left the country in past 4-5 years. You go to the line for bread or sit in a taxi or bus and you hear the misery of the people. Metro is like a open market, full of people selling "from chicken milk to human life" then you have the beggars coming at you insisting to give them something. I even saw young dudes singing and a girl dancing for money... it was just ....
@ everyone: Some people are so angry that Arabs won the bid for AC 2019 or UAE call their league as Arab Gulf. I am not saying to be emotionless toward this but what is the point of showing some documentary of UAE Arabs abusing some South Asian workers (which is awful by the way) while we know the situation of our own people plus the miserable life of illegal Afghanis in our homeland?! Have you seen many kids working on the street washing windshields, selling flowers, gums, candies, water, smoking esfands, or standing by a scale?! Just check any park in the town to see poor lads and gals. go there after 11 pm and see addicts and poor sleeping on the corners. So many people sleeping on a piece of card board. I saw middle class or rich young people are only after having fun and money. Nothing matters for them anymore. They got immune to the image already.
I went to Bame Tehran. I thought I perhaps get some good air and see people smiling there. I was in a group of young friends. As soon as I reach there it begins again, the face of poor kids begging, people fighting over who look at their women or passenger not paying the bus fare. You walk until you reach to an open area with many restaurants and shops. There you see another picture. Very beautiful young girls 16-20 are waiting for costumers! My pals said look over these are our new export products and they looked away in shame... (you can find many more in street of Tehran waiting for cars). We ate something there and got food poisoning. You can trust no one there specially with food product. Even decent looking restaurants use cheap or spoiled food.
Older generation are all regretting the past, many of them are sick or beaten to the age. Those in 30s or 40s are doing the job. Most of people in 20s doesn't have a proper job. Our younger generation is getting delusional, materialistic to the bone and less productive.
We should remove this regime or more generations will burn in that hell. Now, go blame Islamic Republic not others. When our own government doesn't respect our people how do you expect other nations respect us?! You need a source of power to back you up in this situations and our people do not have one.
Just imagine the feeling of North Koreans: Nobody really like them or take them seriously. In airport they probably have it even worst than us. They come from a country that is hated by most of the world. They have been treated like crap by their government and still should say nothing when they are treated wrongly outside. If in a match between their country and any team, a penalty or any thing unjustly happens, how they are going to react?! they don't even have access to internet to show their feeling or talk about their stories. How many games have been held in N.Korea since 1953? Now who is to blame for this? South Korea? Japan? US? or the rest of the world?
thanks for your detailed report and response, even though I ve been away for years I live by thinking about iran day and night, I just hope to see the country free before I die,

If the good young people like your self that care and love Iran deeply and feel sorry for its current condition do not act fast, we will lose an ancient country to the ignorance of bunch of moon watcher lunatics that saw khomeinis picture in the sky, its nothing but a bad joke what happened to Iran, and its on you young kids to protect it from harm, there were many fine men and women that were killed by islamic republic simply because they believed in freedom and human principals, my immediate family members were killed for such ideals,

we must go back to the iranian fighting spirit and fight back these evil beings, we must fight for complete removal of the islamic republic all other phony attempts like green movement and reform agendas are useless and are spread by IR to keep them in power longer

god bless you and the youth of Iran, you are our only hope!

Thanks, the biggest problem among us living abroad is that we are not united and we trust nobody. IR has made the situation even worse. I know the way to get rid of this regime is through armed group and at the same time social movements. But, am I ready for such a devotion? maybe. Do I trust anyone? Big NO!

In 2009 IR big wigs were on the move they felt they could not stay any longer and were sending billions dollars of gold, currency and precious assets abroad before leaving the country. It was Mousavi's biggest mistake to call on people to be calm and do not attack government. We had the chance when people were out and were ready to go for another revolution after the Kahrizak incident and a Paygahe moghavemate Basij center take over in Azadi street.

Mousavi was , is, will remain part of the same regime that has killed thousands of iranians over the past 36 years obviously he will ask the people to calm down, he even said he is trying to take iran back to khomeinis golden era, but its our people that were not wise enough to understand seeking a solution within IR establishment is the impossible road to freedom and to this date they are still lost in the same alleys

It's a shame, so many fellows sell Iran to UAE, because they're scared Iran can't handle the situation, dudes, it's a shame, it would be a chance for Iran, but no everybody seems to like the Arabs more.
Have fun with AFC Tazi Gulf Cup.
And Iran will win nothing in UAE and everybody is in rage mode, because everybody is against us, but nobody will change this situation, no it's even worser, it's about the people of Iran, it's not their fault, and it would be such a hype for these people, they have nothing special that makes them a bit happier, so we give all our chances and opportunities to some Sheikhs.
You'll learn in Europe one major thing, national pride! Not the alaki Iranian pride, I mean real pride, to fight for the opportunity of your country, a Frenchman will never be happy about it, if Germany would get a WC, if France was also a candidate for it, they would do everything to get the chance and if they see the chance, they'll do anything for it, to impress the world, but first you must do everything for it.
So everybody is laughing about those frogs and Frenchies, but they do much more for their own country as we Iranians we even sympathize with our enemies...

^.... They are head and shoulders above us in terms of EVERYTHING apart from the football team themselves (for now).

They have hotels, facilities, proffesionalism, an open mind, relaxed rules, etc.

I mean we can't even play Western pop songs in our stadiums FFS!
                Support Iran until the end

They have money, but they have no nation, no pride, no joy, no passion, we all have this and we have the money, if we really want, trust me look at the nuclear talks with Iran, give them power and money and they would even raise the US-Flag in Tehran lol

No pride, no joy, no passion? Have you been there? They have so much pride, joy and passion for their country. UAE takes a good care of their own local people and you hear absolutely none of them talk shit about their government. I have not witnessed anything like this in any other country. Wherever you go, you hear people complaining about their gov. That doesn't happen in UAE. The only people who complain about the gov are the expats which they have a pretty good reason.

I wish there were governments that were like UAE that they would look after their own people. In Dubai when you get married to another local, they give you a free land where you can build your own house, they will also give you an interest free loan for the construction cost. They also take care of the cost of your wedding and honeymoon too plus so many other benefits.

Have you seen their stadium stands during soccer games?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

I don't even think their stadium will be full for their team during AC19.

BTW, Blatter can dream to have the women lifting in iran with AC19 gone

I hope you're joking too that is a very disgusting thing to compare Iran to. In Iran they actually allow Indian people into malls and build things with something called payment.
