It's going to take Japan a while to ramp up to their full potential under Halilhodzic gentlemen. Don't forget, he has been in charge of the team for only 5 months and this was only his 2nd competitive match in Asia.

Having said that, he had crushed Iraq 4-0 and Uzbekistan 5-1 in a couple of friendlies already. He does seem to be struggling against East Asian team a little bit though. losing to N. Korea and tying S. Korea and China with the B squad in friendlies, and tying Singapore in WCQ before this match.

3-0 Against Cambodia @ home is definitely not a great result for Japan, but not terrible either.
