With the scaredy cat despot gone we can finally manage to play some quality friendlies with respectable nations such as Italy to elevate ourselves rather than his birth place of Mozambique, or the likes of jordan and palestine...

Please enlighten me to how many respectable coaches outside of Iran know jack about the quality of Iran and want to bend over and ask us for friendlies.

Let me know when the acid you are dropping wears off. Gheyrat is not a TM phenomenon, it goes past our football. It helps us get through hard times WITH the right coach. Gheirat with GN didnt get us to the WC, with CQ it did. Iran is not the only gheyrati team on Earth. I've seen Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica,and the USA be far more gheirati at times than we have been. It's the mentality of the team that matters.

Please point to me a coach you believe can instill said philosophy to TM.

GN hands down. Everyone respects the guy, they might loathe him but still respect him and if they don't he'll earn it in the locker the usual way. Look, this is not about GN, as I've mentioned he won't be the next TM coach, millions of dollars have been spent by his competitors in the media to completely tarnish his reputation and character into the public mind. Besides, he's severely results oriented and would opt for the best team possible at any given time instead of focusing on bringing in steady flow of young prospects.

This is about a cowardly, self interested, despot who time and time again betrayed Iran when his personal interests and national interests crossed paths - sponsorgate, omidgate, iraqgate, friendlygate, etc. - finally over playing his hand. Tis a joyous occasion for me and I'm celebrating. I hated how Iran was playing, defending against the likes of bahrain, qatar, and U.A.E. I hated how he completely smeared Iran's name even further in the international community just before the WC by saying the kits shrink, Iran is poor, Iran is pathetic, Iranians can't even afford kits, etc. for a fistfull more of sponsor money. I hated his sycophantic appeal to the public. He had to go.
