Honestly getting so frikkin sick of some people on here who always find some crap to whine about. Just keep your negative thoughts to yourself and stop making threads for stupid shit.

Pretty sure that no one has ever done anything that Doctor Doom approves of.

We wouldn't gain anything from playing a team like Kenya anyways.

They refused to come to Tehran when we didn't accept their raised demands.

Be darak. They are a nobody in football.

Did we fall apart against Argentina?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

As you said Kenya was and still is nobody in world of football.
What we are saying is canceling a friendly with a world class team like Italy for some crappy team does not make sense.
All teams you mentioned specially New Zeland are not strong enough for Iran. Egypt is not the former strong Egypt anymore after their political quagmire and lack of funds. Tunisia is at the same level of Iran. The only African teams which can be a good challenge for Iran are either Ghana, Sahel Aj, or Algeria!

When I read the title I was shocked, then I saw Dr. D s name so I believed the story but then I saw the money matter then wondered how in the world IFF has allowed this part to fall in the hands of the coach.
He is the coach and should not worry about money matters. If the Tehran stadium is filled with 100000 and each person pays 5 dollars that should cover the fee unless they are asking for 20 million and that would be outrageous. You can instead invite a club like Roma and have the match. If the tickets being 5 dollar is too low, then make it 50 for the tehrani or tenrangelesi guys who can afford 50-100 dollar ticket for a concert.
We have a good team and we have great players and this game could help the youth to be known by European teams including Italian.
It is not something you do everyday and every year.
If the sheikhs in south of Persian gulf were to do this they would make even profit by having two foreign teams.
That is how they paid Brazil last time with the money from Persians working in the south.

just think how much money is wasted on some players who are imported to help the teams close to relegation and those who elbow others or show bad bahaviour on the field and lack values. if you have 8 of those with high salaries then you have wasted equal amount...so invite Italy instead...

Oh my... so much objectivity here, I'm practically drowning in it.

Lets brush aside the valid issue regarding the price of an Italy match as just an excuse, which is being suggested. Then how do we explain the Chile match? My memory is admittedly not the best... but I seem to remember Italy crashing out of the group stages of a certain tournament 9 months ago, while Chile moved on and went out on penalties against one of the eventual semifinalists. Oh well, must be my memory. I mean I'm no expert.

Funny how the indication for threads criticizing the TM staff, and the facts used (or omitted) to build those criticisms, are so fluid in service of a predetermined bias.

^Actually you are right about Chile. It will be better. Italy has just a name and they should not ask for outrageous amount. If we pay then everyone else will be asking for money for a friendly.

Guys if we were close to beat argentina.. We can handle them too... even though if we dont play Italy..We still have to prepare for the next WC 2018 which will be tough.. lack of facilities and camps will never improve our team.. Im assuming those mullahs will be gone by then anyways.

                          Kafash Isna Interview

Iran has never played Italy before. We don't know how the two teams might match up, but two defensive lineups will probably not produce much action. Still great for confidence-boosting if our guys show a strong game... Italy are 4-time World Cup winners after all. I would also be playing Mexico and Ireland Republic and see how much progress Iran has made since last time we faced them. For those of you who recall history, I know Nekounam wanted revenge from Mexico before retiring.

I rather Iran play three games against teams that are less prolific but still competent, that one single game against a "famous" team like Italy.
Italy is not what it used to be anyway.
