The people who say things like "Why do Iranians think CQ is God" and other nonsense have probably never lived or worked in Iran and are just your average kids raised abroad with no sense of how Iran really is but have the audacity to make comments about actual Iranians because they had a 2 week vacation there. If they were actual Iranians, they would realize that for once in their lives, Iranians are seeing someone come on TV and speak the truth to them with the respect they deserve and without any BS. That is why Iranians like CQ, because for once they feel like they have someone that cares about them instead of the typical kaffashian/kashani/f-zadeh/rooyanian-esque official that has the status quo's interest in mind. It's not "kharaji-parasti" or "bot-parasti", it is "no-nonsense" parasti.
    3. If that didn't get through your thick skulls, try to understand that Iranians like CQ for the same reasons they liked Hejazi.
    4. Go and ask some real Iranians for insight before you make silly comments.
1.Dude I was born and raised in Iran. So your argument of two weeks vacation does not hold any water.
    2. You are naive if you think CQ tell those words on TV out of simply caring for Iranians or respect. All he cares is his paycheck and working in a peaceful environment. He is very good at adjusting to Iranian culture I give him credit there.
    3. It looks like some Iranians inside motherland have been fed up with so much lies and cheating (pretty much BS) that anyone coming on TV and telling some facts or defending them, will be a national hero. Iranians are so hopeless that they looking for a hero to get them out of this mess rather than looking at each other for final solution.
    4. I know how you guys feel and do not blame you. Living in Iran and keeping your sanity while being healthy and sound is rather a hard task these days. Last month one of the health ministry official just came out and said to DW out of every 3 people 1 is having psychological disorder or break down and out of every 8 people 1 is doing drugs and so on in Iran.

I don't understand why you people aren't realizing that it has been the same argument about cq back and forth for the last few days which has gone nowhere....

Lol, 20 surely is a ripe old age.

I would say the same. Talk to some real Iranians before making comments about a society you are not a part of nor understand.

You seem to not only have the audacity to suggest what goes on in the Iranian psych, but also have the audacity to tell us what "all" the TM manager "cares" about.

Are there any other insights your tarot cards have told you about what goes on in peoples' minds?

True but you are also claiming to know what a "true" and "real" iranian is

Not really. One who lives in Iran is. If they are not in Iran they are either immigrants, refugees or expatriates.

Now that your two week argument has gone done the drain you muster another lame excuse to say I don't know the condition inside Iran. I don't want to give more personal info... I have spend enough time in my ancestral land, with my relatives and countrymen to know what is going on and I am not one of those people who left Iran 35 years ago. I lived in Iran after revolution and left not so long ago. So just keep your excuse there before making yourself embarrassed and hear some truth once in a while from your countryman living abroad (who can see things outside of the box).
Dude, I have seen it by my own eyes what has been going on after and before 2009. People are depressed and hopeless these days. I have seen enough fights and arguments in street over nothing. Or those kif ghabs or zoor girs. I have seen khosh neshins and privilege classes as well.
Instead of just going all defensive and denying just think over some of those statements.
About CQ how many times he wanted to leave and we heard news about he was doing secret talks with African clubs and national team before and after WC? Do you really think a foreigner who argues about his salary with IFF several times and asking for 3 times more of his original salary on take it or leave it condition cares about Iranians people in general? In max if he is a good person he may raise eyebrows for some Iranian football players who are talented but have to be wasted because of corruption. That is exactly why we are saying don't make him an Idol because when he live Iran your hope will be gone and the idol will be broken for you. Then you will be down and in worst condition compared to time CQ was not in Iran because you feel desperate and helpless again. Something that happened to many of our fans after 2006 WC. I guess you have to experience it to get out of this illusion.

You are right but some people are still insisting so hard on something rather obvious. But I rest my case here because it seems it started bothering other members.

You are making too many assumptions about CQ and are basing them on such strange things. I honestly do not understand your argument.

And yes, living in Iran until you are 20 is very different than working day in and day out and being part of that society. You seem to forget what you said. You think people are worshiping him. You are mistaking worship for appreciation. Simple example, unbiased people see how he put the likes of Rahmati and Aghili in their places. People like those two, who felt they were privileged in TM, were reflections of what goes on in Iran. That is one example of why people "appreciate" CQ. He is merit based and doesn't bite his tongue when he speaks.

Work and live in Iran and then maybe you wouldn't make such assumptions about how and why Iranians act they way they do.

I said roughly about my age when I moved. I worked and lived your type of life and that is why I am here now! I experienced the injustice, favoritism, and losing position for those few privileged! ... and what you say also reflect in my statements if you pay more attention... I say no more...

The way DD is talking, you would think he is right in the middle of these negotiations for the friendlies.

Apparently DD knows all the costs of bringing teams over (with no information), the costs of hotels (with no information), how much sponsors are willing to cover for any particular national team (with no information), how much ticket sales for a game that has not been played yet will amount to (with no information), the total cost of playing a particular national team (with no information), etc...

Maybe you can discretely place a tape recorder in the next round of friendly negotiations, so we can all be as close to the action as you are.

If we end up playing the likes of Croatia and Costa Rica some of you will be looking really foolish...likewise if we end up playing Orlando Pirates or some other no name club...of course the reality is something in between...just based on past history it is likely no match will be played and those FIFA days will go wasted. In such a scenario all of you will look foolish

The simple problem with this thread is that Doctor DOOM has INTENTIONALLY altered facts as a means of serving his own agenda which is a defamation of Carlos Queiroz's character. There is no issue with discussing CQ and his pros and cons and that means sitting down and looking at the situation objectively. Condoning this type of thread which is nothing short of propaganda is just wrong.

Italy game was always an iffy one. But none the less it is not CQ's place to make a decision on what is expensive unless he believes the money can be spent on other games. And I don't mean a 3rd division team from Mozambique behind close doors.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

You know all that I'm a CQ die hard fan and I had people mistaking me with him.

BUT THIS IS GOING TO HURT HIS POPULARITY IN IRAN!

CQ if you read this. Come on. What is it with you. The stingy incompetent IFF has finally decided to fund something that is historical for our nation instead of funding terrorists; and you halt it? Seriously man?

I'm afraid that I have to say I'm 100 percent with Dr. doom on this one.
