If it is true it is because his sarbazi issue and he was supposed to return to Iran after AC, but he refused and he got IFF in trouble because they had guaranteed his return with Iranian military services. He was supposed to resolve his issue on return, but he took off after the AC 2015.

CQ obviously wants to get the result more then have some youngsters gain experience.

friendlies , you pick players, and slowly merge them into the main team, i dont see why he wanna bring in alot of new players, make no sense, you can invite a few players, but not alot, expecially two hard games, against 2 good teams

Some on the list should be no where near TM. I have no idea what Heydari, Gordani, Shojaei, Makani etc have done in their leagues/teams that would be sufficient enough for an invite.

              It's the armchair manager mentality.

Again, questioning is fine. But these people who throw a fit at every decision are hilarious to me. They have 0 experience in any aspect of professional football yet have the audacity to make their ridiculous comments.

It's the same in the general forum. People with 0 knowledge on history and religion make silly comments like they are faculty members at a top tier programs.

But they are the older generation. The newer generation of Iranians are becoming more and more educated and more and more nuanced.

It's an ok list with nothing crazy. I feel really sorry for Sharifi though...

Missing the list but hopefully called up in WCQ: Abedini, Sharifi, Ali Karimi and Saghebi (TM Omid though, understandable), Jamaati (not inform but still), Sasan Ansari, Mosalman, Y. Karimi
No business in TM: Shojaei, Heydari, Ansarifard (out of form + benched)

I rate Kaveh Rezaei and Sharifi higher than Hassanzadeh but Hassanzadeh's finishing has been perfect this year. Those questionning Gordani, he's old but he's one of the best we have in LB, we lack solid younger players in that position and Gordani has been good lately for Tractor.

I personally prefer the first option though.

No change in mid field at all. That is one place we need several new blood line. We defiantly need players to replace Neko and Ando soon. The WC-18 is not that far and CQ must act accordingly.

Well, he likely will start considering for those positions as Nekounam has reiterated he will be leaving TM. I imagine Nekounam might find some capacity in the future like they tried with AK8...and we have seen some rays of hope in the midfield with IPL players...time will tell.

Queiroz has too many players that will be on the list no matter how theyre playing. Ansarifard has no place in tm right now same goes with heidari. Sadeghi was barely used in the asian cup i dont see a need for him especially now that montazeri is back. Players like Sharifi, kaveh rezaei, alishah deserve it much more than them.

Compare the team CQ used when he first got here, and how it changed slowly but surely over time.

Guys like Gholamreza, Meydavoudi, Ghazi, Gholami, Aghili, Pej. Nouri (full respect to them) were slowly phased out, and we had a whole new team by the end of WCQ.

The same thing is happening now. Be sure that slowly but surely younger players will be added without causing an earthquake to the base of the team, which would basically mean we would have to start from scratch.

We have a system and ideology in place right now (whether people agree with it or not), and if we drop 6 players from the list and add 6 fresh ones, we basically have to re-teach that system to them. Its much easier to do this by adding one or two new players at a time. They can learn the system without causing havoc for the rest of the team.

                              After Asian cup? No

                              After these friendless? ....

What's funny is that CQ said the reason why he didn't introduce younger players into TM for Asian Cup was because of lack of quality friendly matches. And now this....
                              true that
the list isnt nearly experimental enough for me either...!!
this is exactly the Time and the sort of games to experiment with new players who may show some potential of becoming a promising future internationals..!!
also his insistence on demanding services of Azmoun and jahanbaksh, tells me he is first and foremost worried about his own job security ..!!
CQ's failure to get passed 1/4final at AC, rightfully puts some job performance pressures on his shoulder, but he does his best work when under pressure and stress..!!
CQ probably feels he could well be on his way out if his TM get embarrassing results in these friendlies..!!? which is also not a very healthy pressure from the federation to put on the coach, this is time to build for future, not in 2nd-3rd round of WCQ..!!

I'm still struggling to understand how and why Makani in this form was invited to TM. He was absolutely horrendous yesterday in the game again Al-Nassr - all 3 goals were due to his bad positioning. On the other end of the scale Salimi was absolutely solid - if there's no issue with including 30+ year olds, no one was more deserving of a TM call-up than him - 11 clean sheets in the IPL (more than twice that of Makani) and 2 in the ACL.

Also Jamaati was solid yesterday, so again I fail to see the logic of inviting a 31 year old uncapped player for friendlies, when we have younger players that can fill that role.

And Amiri just missed another easy goal against Al-Shabab!
