On the other end of the scale Salimi was absolutely solid - if there's no issue with including 30+ year olds, no one was more deserving of a TM call-up than him - 11 clean sheets in the IPL (more than twice that of Makani) and 2 in the ACL.

Also Jamaati was solid yesterday, so again I fail to see the logic of inviting a 31 year old uncapped player for friendlies, when we have younger players that can fill that role.

And Amiri just missed another easy goal against Al-Shabab!
Makani was playing very well when CQ announced the list, unfortunately he had a bad game yesterday. And Vahid Amiri is the best player on Naft beside Beiranvand, so I think he will be a call up to TM for the next few years, he is the that time of Queirozi player, he has good skills, physical, and works very hard. Btw im sure this has been mentioned before Jama'ati and LB is a traumatic experience, he has trouble against IPL wingers nevermind Alexis Sanchez.

Gordani is arguably more solid than Jamaati as a LB.

        Even if that's true, he's still 31.

certainly too old and yet still highly inexperienced at national level to be invited for a couple of supposedly Preparatory friendlies ...!!

its just a Vaslezani by CQ to cover for absence of Pouladi, who's absence due to this annoying Sarbazi still bs..!!

woulda preferred CQ trusted the Hajsafi and Amiri combo down the left flank and instead invited a younger, promising debutant..!!

Said this in another thread Zandi joon, but both of Al Ahli's goals came from his side and he was WAY behind and out of the play on both goals. Maybe I'm being too critical, but I though he totally got owned in the last part of the game.

Don't know bro, thought he played like crap today and every other time I've seen him in an international setting, he has played like crap too.

Don't know if you noticed, but there was a major boost to Naft's offense as soon as he got replaced with Ebrahimi.

Agree with you on Amiri. He fights hard but lacks the stamina and ball control. He should not be a part of TM at this point.
Gordani perhaps was partially at fault in not covering the FW at first goal, but Second goal he was not at fault when Lak came out of the goal and Saudi FW send the ball over his head. For first goal any average goal keeper could get that ball. The keeper lost control of a simple shoot and ball slipped out of his hands.

Yeah, Lak was partially at fault for both goals (especially the 1st one - one of his usual retard moments ), but spot Gordani on the 2nd goal and see how far behind the play he is. On both goals half (or more) of his midfield line was behind him and he was just tracking back eslowly eslowly

I totally trust Zandi joon that he has been solid in the IPL 'cause he knows what he's talking about and I haven't watched too many full IPL games this year. But I always put priority in ACL games because one, you face players that you're not familiar with, two, they are much more diverse in their playing styles than IPL players, and three they can be and often are higher quality players.

All of these conditions magnify the players' strength and weaknesses and help evaluate them better for a tournament performance, rather than week in week out league performance, which is what they'll be experiencing in TM as well.

I have a homework assignment then:

                    1. Name the players from the list that were not in our WC roster.

                    2. Name the players in the list that were not in our WCQ roster

With Sardar Azmoon & Jahanbakhsh out playing for Olympic team, CQ has good opportunity to try new young IPL players.
His squad is almost 30 years old, unlikely he will invite another older player to replace the two.
                        1 Haghighi علیرضا حقیقی

^ I would pick Sharifi and instead of Jahanbakhsh there is a lot of options, Ahmadzadeh/Ansari/Y.Karimi etc..

The problem is Sardar was our first hope for scoring and already a part of team. Jahanbakhsh was a good back up to come for last 30 min. We can replace JB without losing too much steams but not Sardar. any new FWs 6 days from first game can not adjust to the team to get good results but what the heck at least they can have a chance for experimenting. I recommend Sharifi or Taromi for FW.

                              Sepahan has Sharifi
                              Zobahan .. Rezaei , Tabrizi
                              Perspolis Taremi
                              Tractor Amadzadeh
                              Foulad: Bakhtiar, Rafeiei , Abdollahzadeh

Military Authority just released 4 Foulad players to play against Saudi Arabia Team 24 hours before the match.
What a cruel decision.. don't they know 24 hours before the game is too late for coach to include them?

They first told them by phone of release of Saeidi, Rafeiei, Bakhtiar and Abdollahzadeh.
Fould received release letter 24 hours before the match but a different names !!. Bakhtiar was replaced by Shahab.
Rafeiei only played 10 minutes for Foulad FC.

The fact that Military Authorities released them for a game , it opened the door and a chance worthy follow up.

^^^ They said that was only for the one game and happened at the request of Kuzestan's governor. They pretty much made it clear that it won't be for any other game, which is a shame really. They need to get this resolved one way or another.
