First of all, this is a political stunt, CQ isn't going anywhere. No one wants him and certainly no one would pay him as much as we do given his pathetic track record and his inability to play attractive football. CQ is a pathetic spoiled 60 year old to whom his personal gain is more important than Iranian national interests, hence this #teamomidgate scandal. I would also point towards his shenanigans prior to the WC with TM kit sponsors that resulted to international headlines regarding Iran being a piss poor country that can't afford proper jerseys for their national TM. That is CQ's biggest contribution to Iran and TM, tainting our image even further internationally because he was begging for more sponsored money.
As Bi-honar, and DD have mentioned some of you are simply idolaters when it comes to CQ and treat any criticism towards him, irrespective of its rationality as blasphemy as is highlighted throughout this thread.
I am glad he decided to pull this stunt, and I hope it backfires and he loses his job permanently. His only other option is coaching a random South African club team anyhow, and that's where he belongs.
Now let's talk about replacements.

I want everyone on PFDC to pay close attention to how attitudes are about to change. All the CQ critics of today, in about 1 year, will cry and beg and wish for the "good ol' CQ days".
All those critics will begin to call the 4 years under CQ "our golden years". Just watch and see. It'll show you how fickle TM fans are!
What a loss. Khak tu sareh IFF, they can't do anything right. I don't think CQ had exceptional demands, I think he had normal demands and it was very clear that IFF couldn't meet them because they're too incompetent, underfunded and unprofessional.

CQ was too stubborn for his and TM's own good. I'm curious to see who will replace him now. I bet Mansourian will be the intern coach, while we look for a 2nd rate Euro coach to take over in the next couple of months.
BTW Sale No Mobarak, to all of you guys I hope that this new year will bring about plenty of happiness and success into your lives.

Right now the only Iranian coach qualified for the job is GN, but then again he's a polarizing figure and his tenure as a TM couch would be clouded by a constant array of criticism before he's even offered the job which would be too toxic for TM. So, realistically, we're looking at another foreign coach. But before that there is a need for a new IFF head, someone with gravitas that wouldn't be played with like a fiddle as Kafashian was under the reigns of CQ.

I see a lot of ppl say IFF went over his head and chose the players for Omid team.
It seems some of us have forgotten exactly WHO WORKS FOR WHOM here.
CQ works for Iran. It's not the other way round. So the ultimate priority is certainly not keeping CQ satisfied with his temper tantrums. It is WHAT BENEFITS IRAN. Which includes our Olympic team.
This is why I say some of us treat an individual way beyond what's correct and norm. In our desperate attempt to deliver our obedience, we seem to forget the bigger picture. It's IRAN. Not CQ or any other individual. Get your heads out of our a****s

I love CQ and I want him to stay but
What i dont undrestand is why didnt CQ just let the Omid team have Azmoon and Jahanbakhsh ???
They usualy come of the bench any way and we dont have any official TM games its just a couple of friendlies ???
Omid team and going to Olympic is very important right ???

I don't know about you, I do like CQ but I don't think he is a genius either. Our football is corrupted and no matter how we do and what we do we cannot make this work unless it changes from ground up. What's the point of qualifying to the world cup and lose all games or get a 1 point. We did that in 1996 as well. We have to look forward and see how we can improve. At this stage nobody can help our corrupted football federation. So any coach domestic or 2nd tier foreign will have the same result with our team.
