if true, this is a disaster.

Next, a hezbollahi coach will take over, will screw up, IFF panics and replaces that hezbollahi coach with a semi-decent coach, and at the end, we fail.

As it currently stands, he is the best option for our TM. Of course, knowing Kaffashian he will say he has lined up some great foreign coaches and keep us waiting till WC 2018!
Kafashian: "After negotiations with Mourinho, Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, SAF and Emam Zaman failed, we have decided to assign Ghalenoei as the head coach of Team Melli and Mayeli Kohan as his assistant."

I can't see Dejagah/Gucci/Nekounam/Teimourian follow the words of whoever comes after CQ unless they are well-respected and internationally known.

Thank you CQ for giving so much to our football and qualifying us to our fourth ever world cup and for grooming Pouladi, PAG, Jahanbaksh, Azmoun, Haghighi, and improving the overall discipline in the team.

^ so basically some hezbollahi rishoo fired him.

why even have these friendlies? what's the purpose when you lose your coach and your 2 bright future stars are not even playing.

I am truly saddened by this news . I hope that it is not true . Now , if it is true and CQ. Is really leaving after those two friendlies .. We should stop wasting time and get right to the point of finding another great coachz ( IMO khareji) but in the meantime of finding the right coach ( which takes a looooong time for IFF) we should appoint either golmohamadi or mansourian ( my pick is mansourian) to take over immediately until that right coach if found .

To want Mansourian or Golmohammadi right now is silly. They have a real chance to grown and develop as excellent coaches over the next 3-4 years. To throw them in the hot seat today is setting them up to be antagonized and have their reputation (and coaching career) ruined tomorrow.

That being said, the 'replacement' is a diversion from the real concern. That concern is the government's constant interference in our footballing decisions and the corrupt incompetents who are running the show.

CQ will leave after Chili & Sweden Games

I hope you all f*ckers are happy now you got what you wanted and CQ got fired. Now JB and AZ can play against the mighty Nepal, top class Afghanistan and a decent Palestine side.

All up to Ghalenoei to step in and satisfy the likes of Clipsport and Doctor Doom. We will have some friendlies against Esteghlal F.C. and we are about to re-invite Rahmati and Aghili. This will be our preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers.

Screw foreign players, since they are "khareej parast" and have no place in TM. No to Gucci, Sabbahzaddeh is miles above him because IPL is superior in all fronts.

If CQ himself has commented on it, there's definitely more weight behind the story. But if I'm reading it correctly, Kaffashian has to still accept the resignation.

I don't understand this part though:

در واقع از اینکه این اتفاق می*افتد احساس بدی دارم چرا که این موضوع برخلاف افکار و انتظاراتم بوده و است.

Had he not been saying since the Asian Cup that he's going to quit after these two games if the federation doesn't provide him with all the stuff that he needs, namely proper facilities?

And he made his stay conditional on Azmoun and JB joining the main team - not to mention all the gesturing against the federation in the past week or so and saying that he would be honored to be fired by Kaffashian.

So why is this against his wishes and thoughts and why did he submit a resignation rather than being fired?!

Ironically, Rahmati and Khalatbari will get invited and people will forget that we were supposed to 'build for the future'.

I didn't realize how much I enjoyed watching Team Melli play over CQ's reign until I saw that tribute video that was posted a few days ago (I've posted it below again). Whatever you make think of the brand of football, this was the most united, passionate, and dedicate group I've ever seen in our national team. Maybe we didn't win the Asian Cup or go the R16 in the World Cup but we had developed many world-class qualities. Above all else, for the very first time, we were a real team. It wasn't the 'Daei and Azizi' show or the 'Karimi' show. It was the team entirely.

I don't think the fans of CQ's allows this to happen. Nevertheless when CQ went to see that new hezbulahi rishoo assistant of Kafashian and came out teary, I knew that we are going back to mayeli kohan, Deh Namaki and Ahangaran era. Not because CQ IS GOD AND OUR FOOTBALL can't survive without him, no way. However the fact that bunch of retards who are the remainder of war era and see everything in front lines and their Chapieh on their necks, can not communicate with a foreign coach. When I saw him going to see him, in my heart I knew it was done. The mafia has decided to eliminate Iran from the World Cup. However, hang in there guys. Don't discount the fans and masses. Good news shall be heard soon.

Kiarash jan, are you really concerned for Iranian football or are you just worried about some Kal Kal with someone you interact with on a forum?

What do you mean maybe. Those things definitely didn't happen.

Yes but only when we were defending (ie most of the time). Our attacking was still dependent on a moment of brilliance by Gucci, Azmoun, Dejagah, Khalatbari etc.
