It just shocks me the way the IFF and some of the ignorant a$$ "fans" on pdfc, who can't see much beyond results on paper, have treated the most high profile manager we've ever had, respected by many an important figure in the game.
At times he's been petulant and stubborn, issued ultimatums and overreacted both on the sidelines and in the press but it's always been in an effort to obtain the autonomy from a meddling federation, something that his peers at different clubs and national teams take for granted.
He's been on a journey for the last 4 years, one that I'd say he was about half of the way through. It's just a shame that we wont see the fruits of his labour and will revert to what we do best; throw some inept IPL manager in over his head into the role, blindly select TM players with a national bias, struggle to arrange meaningful friendlies... all the while proclaiming that we're a better footballing nation that we actually are and expecting unrealistic results.
I dont know why but sometihing tells me this is all just a shown by CQ and Kaffashian to make Goudarzi and Assadi, his boy in the IFF,look very bad so that they can get
thier way.
It just doesnt make sense to me if CQ wants to quit why wait 2 more weeks ??
1) where wound Carlos go work if not with Iran?
2) IFF are literally shooting themselves in the foot by letting him go. Any other coach, and it will be a catastrophy from now on, and no Russia 2018.
