If the original source for this news is Saudi, then I would not give them 2 cents. They have been known to highly exaggerate these amounts in the past.

Magath needs time to learn all Iranian players but knows how to us DJ better than CQ. Maybe Mansourian with him as his advisor that would be perfect.

We don't need a really a good coach until 6-12 months from now. There is not important matches upcoming. So it only makes sense we go to a Iranian coach and see how they do before expanding our search to external candidates?

I can't imagine the IFF is willing to pay $1 million dollar salary for a coach after CQ.

IF CARLOS QUEIROZ LEAVES after AC 2019, IF, then I think José Pékerman should be top candidate. Essentially just trading coaches with Colombia (even though he stopped coaching them this year). Clearly, I don't want to lose a NT manager as that would be a huge set back on TM as evidenced by other NTs. But with that said, if CQ truly wishes to leave us the timing of after AC 2019 seems better fit in comparison to later, when competitions begin. Give the man a statue outside Azadi for his services, etc, etc...

Look guys, seems like he might go to Columbia! Honestly he deserves it, we will miss him, but he was bound to leave one day!

Damn you dug a 3-4 year old thread.

Nonetheless LOL at some of the options at the time. Goes to tell who's seasonal, who's consistent in getting results.

I would take him allllll day.

He's a super disciplinarian. Especially with his well known, intense training regime, Iran would be continue to be fit and disciplined under him, which is the biggest thing we lacked with all other coaches.

Yeah that's not going to happen. Peckerman is Jewish!

as much as i love CQ but one day he has to go and someone will replace him so we need to be ready for that day . Imo yahya golmohammadi is perfect coach. He has proven to be a good coach.

His super classiest move by far is subbing out a goalie right before the end of regulation in anticipation of a penalty shootout. In fact, it was so super classy that no coach has ever emulated it since!
