We don't need a really a good coach until 6-12 months from now. There is not important matches upcoming. So it only makes sense we go to a Iranian coach and see how they do before expanding our search to external candidates?
I can't imagine the IFF is willing to pay $1 million dollar salary for a coach after CQ.

IF CARLOS QUEIROZ LEAVES after AC 2019, IF, then I think José Pékerman should be top candidate. Essentially just trading coaches with Colombia (even though he stopped coaching them this year). Clearly, I don't want to lose a NT manager as that would be a huge set back on TM as evidenced by other NTs. But with that said, if CQ truly wishes to leave us the timing of after AC 2019 seems better fit in comparison to later, when competitions begin. Give the man a statue outside Azadi for his services, etc, etc...

"😦 Directors of the Colombian Football Federation held a meeting with Carlos Queiroz during the Libertadores final match between River Plate and Boca Juniors.
According to ‘Blu Radio’ correspondent Julio Bolanos, the Colombian officials talked about future of the national team."
