Quarter-Finals Asian Cup with the best selection in years.
He played too defensive against Nigeria and the game against Bosnia was terrible.
Good Games against Bahrain in 2011, Argentina 2014 and Korea in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Defensive great coach, but he parked the bus too much. I think we can replace Carlos Querioz with a defensive oriented coach.

Nigeria would trash us if we didn't play defensive, did you forget how fast they were plus Iran was clearly scared.

To the member who voted "Highly Disapprove":

Can you please enlighten us why you highly disapprove him? You disapprove him because:

              1. We qualified to the world cup
              2. Even though we didn't qualify to round 16 in WC everyone to this day, every time they find out I'm from Iran they praise our NT games in WC specially the game against Argentina.
              3. He fought against "Bazikon Salary" in Iran for the first time.
              4. He brought discipline for the first time in Iran
              5. No player is safe anymore and you will be benched if you're not in top form i.e Gucci, Khosrow, Sadeghi
              6. We beat South Korea 3 times in row

judging a mans work is always relevant and not black and white, especially in Iran.

You can bring the best surgen to a sick mans bedside, but if he doesnt have the proper support, staff and equipment then his work will not reflect his skills. IFF and Iranian economy is experiencing difficulties never experienced before and that has made it almost impossible to prepare and scheduel friendlies and camps. Until a week prior to AFC, we didnt have money to play our teams plane tickets.
To all of these financial woes and lack of friendly games you must add the ongoing VEZARAT-E VARZESH vs IFF war.
TO all of this you might want to add the impossible situation that ignorant and BISAVAAD iranian coaches creat in iran.

SO if you ask me, he has done GREAT.

5 for me, even though AC 2015 exit may have suggested 4.
                    My reasoning:
TM boss is multi dimensional and the boss has to professionally handle
                    1) manage soccer related activities ( all foreign coaches can do this)
                    2) manage media ( all foreign coaches should be able to do this)
                    3) manage IFF
                    4) manage friendlies/camps ( due to his connection he was able to manage camps and friendlies)
                    5) create a professional attitude out of non professional atmosphere in the League)
                    6) inspire players and get the best of them
                    7) do away with player-rule attitude in TM ( Rahmati, Aghilie )
                    8) live in Iran and enjoy being there

                      OVERALL- I do a 4.

before the two friendlies and after the AC it is a 2 for me. Here is my reasoning.

1- I do like CQ and I think he is one heck of a coach- but he is populist meaning he will sugarcoat lots of things to get his way, if you are on his bus you will go for ride of your life and if you don't follow his rules you will burn in hell. It is great that he has discipline but you have to be able to adapt to your environment rapidly and he is not doing it.

2- putting pressure on the team right before the two big games would hurt our chances of playing good football. It is in the back of every player mind that he will leave plus all the pre-game interviews will be on that subject taking the focus off the game.

I realize we have an incompetent FF and people running the country are even worse, there are lots of things CQ is right about but I don't like his populist ideas as much as most people do, nevertheless I still believe he is the right guy for the job.

I was a solid 5 before the WC, down to 3.5 after, back up to 4 before the AC, 3 after and I'm sitting at 2 now. So, considering everything I'm about 3 now.

BTW, this poll is running until tomorrow morning, but as it stands I guess we've busted the heavily circulated myth that 88% of TM fans fully approve of CQ.

You can obviously interpret the results in many different ways, but so far the majority of the fans (at least here) haven't given CQ a 100% approval rating with almost 1 in 4 fans not approving of him at all.

It will be interesting to see if or how the approval ratings change after the Chile and Sweden friendlies.

yes, clearly the sample size you used is a reflection of the entire football fan population in Iran and the ROW. You open a poll, have the negative points on the top, and claim that "somewhat approve" does not fall into the 88% category. You do know that people don't have to believe 100% in everything that CQ does to fall into that 88% category. right ?

Now that's as scientific as it gets. It kinda reminds me of the polls we see on your favorite station, FOX News, where they find 4 scientists who don't believe in climate change and then they "bust" that heavily circulated myth about global climate change, when 99% of scientists have evidence to prove there is climate change.

If that's how you "bust" theories, then you should stay as far as possible from the scientific world, and stick to your day job in the sales world.
