I call people out on both sides. My track record stands for itself. I and others on both sides of many debates have been attacked relentlessly in both the gen and football forum, and if I catch it, I call it out.

phenomenal result and a very good game.

pretty much a stereotypical TM match under CQ where we saw our team take advantage of a set piece and a counter in order to find the back of the net, good execution in that respect as always.

I said it since his first and second TM cap, amiri is one dangerous player who is capeable of a lot more than most ppl expect. he breezed by defenders in the AC and he did it against a much stronger opposition with the same level of ease. IMO the most gifted dribbler we have had since AK8, notice how many long balls he receives on the wing and how he always manages to create space for himself with the ball and whip in a cross. that seems to be a popular choice for nekounam/tactic from CQ in regards to amiri.

the masoud haters get funnier and funnier. I was equally as frustrated when he was inside the box and took too long to shoot but cmon, he did just about everything else right other than that. you guys cant define a player just on his mistakes.

the ando/dejagah combo was really good today as usual. the dejagah/ghafouri not as much as usual but it didn't matter because they all played well...vouria was more quiet than usual and seemed to be more focused on defense. not an issue to be a bit conservative at times, especially against a big opposition like chile.

beikzadeh looked really solid on the left flank too, blocked a bunch of crosses and knew when to knock the ball out of danger and play it safe vs when to make the short pass....an area that i feel pooladi is kind of weak in.

im terrified of what this team will look like without javad and/or ando. these guys are the heart beat of the team and im not sure who will be able to fill their shoes when they are gone. javad's leadership above all will be missed, along with his quality and pedigree.....if he wasn't there today we would have struggled to get a win or even a draw.

the only negatives i saw today

          - ansarifard still needs to improve. hes taking up a valuable spot as we have many strikers in iran ATM who are in far better form (kaveh rezaie, sharifi, taremi) who could have used that valuable 20 minutes to gain some experience against top opposition.

          - haghighi still needs to improve on low balls. he still looks shaky every time they come in and could have conceded if the Chilean forwards would have been playing harder. nevertheless, he had a great game and some key saves so im not worried about him.

Imagine if Iran goes to play Sweden and god forbid loses 10-0...I would say the same thing to Bi-Honar (god I hate his username, I feel like Im always insulting him) if he pulled your classless stunt. Like I said, low blow. Never kick a man when he is down. Idk, I disagree. He deserves to be down. He's posting predictions of Iran losses on the Persian Football Forums. What did he expect would happen.

I remember when everyone was saying Gucci and Dejagah were shit before they even suited up for TM. I really wish I could rub those people's noses in it. Iranians are reactionary and pessimistic in nature.

Really, what has Iran done under CQ's reign that has left people so "doom and gloom?" We lost unluckily in the Asian Cup, and lost in the World Cup in a respectable fashion, and mostly because of a lack of fitness.

For some reason, every game we play, many pessimists jump on PFDC to predict a 10-0 loss for Iran.

Get out of here. I believe in Iran and if you doubt them, be ready to have your nose rubbed into it. Only way to shake you all out of your pessimistic shell. If Iran starts playing like Saudis currently are or Bahrain, etc. I'll be right along with you predicting losses in every game. Iran is a good, not great, team though. So have some more faith guys. Your pre-match opinions are ridiculous.

I don't think anyone disputes this comment. What's shameful though is when some like St. Mark anxiously wait for someone (i.e. CQ) to fall so that they'll have that opportunity to kick him. You won't see him make an appearance when all of PFDC is fighting for Team Melli in the doping scandal. You won't see him celebrate after Team Melli beats Chile. But the moment the hurricane starts and CQ's job is on the line, he's out on the front line providing 'news' and his opinion.

And lets be fair. You are a highly intelligent member and have often provided a great perspective. However, whenever the term 'plastic fan', 'ajnabi parast', or 'ghashi' was used, you did not say a word to those people as they were on the side that shared your opinion. In some cases even, their posts were thanked. Being a true arbiter means taking a stand whenever someone is being wronged - not just at selective moments.

The difference is, I would never make such statements before a match.

I don't consider those debates. He does not debate. He attacks people for their opinions and when he has nothing left to say he changes peoples' quotes to "blah blah blah" and ridicules them in a childish manner.

I disagree with your idea on the conduct of respect. I believe you should speak the language that is spoken to you. If one speaks the language of ridicule, they should expect the same back. Only then will they understand their fault(s).

Finally, as it has been pointed out, where were you when he or others who share your opinion act in a manner that is not conducive to a discussion?

Take me to the gallows and give big rugs a gold star for I am not a fortune teller! Of course, he predicted the game correctly himself and you can find that, em em em, anyone know where?!

                    Azize man,

                    * We didn't play with the same old overly defensive tactics in the 1st 60 minutes, did we? In fact we went straight on the attack in the 1st 5 minutes of the game, which is exactly the same way "CQ bashers" and "armchair coaches" as you call them have been saying we should be playing!!!

                    * How many times have I and other "CQ haters" and "armchair coaches" said that if we took the game to Bosnia from the start (like we did in this game), we would have won that game and how many times did you "CQ lovers" said no, we don't have the quality to play offensive football?!

                    * All we've heard from you "CQ lovers" is that we don't have the league, the players, the system, the friendlies, the facilities, the federation, the kooft o zahere mar to play a nice offensive attracting game and beat decent teams and you think I'm the one who should be feeling silly?! Really?!

I'm not the one who hates my country and thinks everything about it is shit and neither are 99% of the people you label "CQ bashers". Quite the contrary, we're the ones who think Iran is capable of this and MUCH more and that we should be in the top 20 if not top 10 in the world in every field. Again, you think I'm upset or feel silly that CQ just proved my point?!

I'm ecstatic and feel wonderful if you must know - I hope all my predictions had proven pessimistic including a 2-1 win against Bosnia!

If anything, you're the one who's always implying we are nothing, we were nothing before CQ (or Islam) came, and we will be nothing without CQ (or Islam). You're the one who's selling your country short my friend and if anyone should be feeling silly after this result, it's you.

You are the one who's sad and angry and feel like you have to prove a point and dwell in some differences rather than enjoying the win and celebrating together.

Did u guys notice how Chile attacked on the right flank ( Irans left ) in the last 20-30 minutes and always managed to get a dangerous cross in? It was either Hashem standing too much in the centre or Amiri not doing his defensive duties. Either way it was a real flaw in the system. What do you guys think?

Like I said, if I caught it, I called him or anyone else on it. My friend, an eye for an eye makes the world go blind. If you disagree kill him with kindness and respect...but don't literally kill him. Anyways, I hope I have modelled this behaviour, as I always try to do so, and I am sorry if you felt "wronged" in that I haven't. But if you go look at the post match, we already have fans saying "don't expect a repeat of this performance against Sweden..." This is how fans work...some are pessimistic, some are optimistic...each gets burned at their own time, and each has his own moments of happiness. What I fear most of you fail to see, is that these are merely coping mechanisms all of us have...in the end, we all want the same thing...happiness through victory and success for TM and everyone affiliated with it.

I fear many of you (collectively only both sides) fail to see this...this blindness makes you attack the very same people who would cheer for Iran in the stadiums next to you...to be honest, it sucks to be persecuted for your opinions. It's wrong...and I do not want to become a broken record. Respect begets respect!

What a game and what a result!!!!

With the exception of two very poor performances by Shojaei and Karim, the rest of the team was outstanding!!

Everytime Shojaei screwed up I was thinking of how pissed off Doctor Doom would be at that moment. lol
