I know this has been brought up before and there used to be a flash chat (shit client imho)....
But i personally think, a lot of the cherto pert that is posted on the forums with debates and arguments, can all be easily sorted out with a chat room (IRC preferably). It will greatly help the forums will turn into a repository of useful information and opinions rather than :bs:
I've seen chat rooms implemented with online communities at this stage of maturity and i think quite a few people including mods/admins have noticed how much the tone on PFDC has turned into harsh bashing or useless Iranian tug-of-war on opinions. It buries the information we all surf here for.
I don't mean just any free-for-all chat room, but a proper IRC implementation with ops, rules, trivia bots (with Iran related questions), a sticky on the forums and possible BNC service for long-term dedicated people. <--- lack of all of this is what caused the previous chat to never be used.
I've been part of multiple communities on IRC for over 10 years, trust me it's quite important in developing attitude and generating a unifying atmosphere.
