    Iran vs Bonsia match analysing

Here is a good lesson for us to go over our tactics

We had the usual line up

    Gucci
    Hajsafi-Shojae-Dejagah
    Ando-Neko
    Pooladi-Jalal-Sadeghi-Montazeri
    Haghighi

We started with a more attacking football instead of classic defense counter attacks so our defense was not working well

    early in the match
Hajsafi fell on Bosnia box, they had a counter attack from middle, our MDs were watching ball passing them Bosnians take the ball to the side, long pass, Dezko shot on target while Jalal is stick to him and Haghighi saves the day (high shot).

    1. goal (min 23)
We lose the ball in front at right side, they had a counter attack from our center, our MDs were watching ball passing them, Pooladi followed Dzeko and our CB Jalal and Sadeghi did not closed the gap in center on time so he scored on the ground. Haghighi's major problems (very risky and unreliable on low shots)

    2. Dejagah and Ando have an excellent passing and we hit the horizontal bar but Gucci is so lame in scoring the reflected ball.

    3. Tactical sub (min 46)
Masoud out and useless Heydari in
Basically we are going more defensive, but losing our play-maker up front and fire power. (this I think was error because of Heydari and changing our play maker instead of a side winger (Hajsafi)

    4. goal (min 59)
Jalal gives the ball to Bosnian in our field, they pass it to the center, Jalal and Sadeghi cover the center so they pass to our right which montazeri is far behind and wide open. boom their player scores another easy on the ground shot and Haghighi can not even touch it as usual.

... again our RB is shaky

    5. Sub (Min 63) now CQ realize Hajsafi is not helping the team at left wing so he brings him out and JB goes in. Another Tactical risk. Good because we have more power up front but JB is not good at defense and his position is at right. He could switch Dejagah to the left and tell him to play more defensively and let fresh JB to push forward at right side since we had Heydari at his back. So now behind JB is wide open and we lost defensive power.

    6. Sub (Min 67) Dejagah out so basically our right wing is out of action (our major engine in most of our attacks) and Karim an out of form second striker comes in. Here CQ do another risky but desperate move to score a goal but his effective winger is out.

    7. goal (Min 82) our right wing is completely out of action. And our usual right winger is doing his job at left wing but still pushing the team forward and in a rafto bargarsht we score goal while 4 of our players are in offside position (but here is a special case so Gucci's goal was not offside). Again from left with Neko assist Gucci scores

    8. gaol (Min 83) we are 2-1 and desperate for another goal so all even our defense are in Bosnian field even our CBs. We lose the ball in left side they pass it to the center and there while our defense are running they have a deep straight pass who their veteran over run our defense and then goes to the box without any body marking him. Pooladi gives up on him and goes to the center Jalal tries to blocks him (instead of Pooladi) and he shots easy another low ball and Haghighi lose it again.

    The rest are history.

Can you follow what I am trying to suggest?!

Heydari should be out of TM

Vouria ghafori has been added to the team and with good result

Jahanbaksh at left wing ?! and then you take Dejagah out?! why we had no left wing?! and if you to sub Dejagah out do it with JB.

Amiri here is a good sub for Hajsafi (I changed my mind on him but still need to keep this form)

Pooladi maybe good at Argantina match but not a solid one in Bosnia, same goes to Montazeri

Beokzadeh work good in Chile match a possible good replacement for now

Sadeghi was not perfect in the middle

Pouraliganji is a good replacement in CB

Karim is useles and Gucci is not as sharp as we need for major games, he is good for Asian level.

Azmoun came on and started as our first choice striker all we need is add a new third striker

Our team has been evolving and has become a much better team and you saw the result by your own eyes against Chile! IFF are total idiots if they let CQ leave now.

I will guarantee you if we play Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia again with this team we will be advancing to R16 for sure.

My analysis is based on Iran vs Argentina, Iran vs Bosnia and AC matches.

IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Our last 3 matches for wcq is when we started this new defensive style and it got better game by game. Then we only had 3 true friendlies after that and played our first game against Nigeria. Honestly we just didnt have enough time to practice and didnt have enough friendlies to get everyone used to this style. for the amount of time that we had, we did fantastic. If only we had the same preparation that a team like Germany had, i have no doubt we would have been in the round of 16.

Another thing was that we never got scored on first before the Bosnia game. Argentina game doesn't really count because it was so late but seemed like after we got scored on our guys were confused and lost their rhythm. They only had one plan in that game and it was not to get scored on and try to score late in the game. They were also unlucky not to score couple min later when masoud hit the Crossbar, i truly believe we could have at least tied that game if that shot would have been in. That being said, i agree with you as far as the current team would have been in round of 16.

Heydari, sadeghi, should be out for sure. Ansarifard needs to be out for a while and try to find his touch again. Mehdi taromi, Omid allishah or Shahbahzadeh should be given a chance in my opinion.

I made the terrible mistake of watching the highlights and wow pisses me off how easy we let them score 3 goals.

        1. everyone watched Dzeko and let him shoot. Someone could have fouled him before he shot it from such a dangerou area.
        2. Horrifying mistake by Hosseini. (Dude was somewhat offside?)
        3. Haghighi didnt look at the ball or what. He could have easily save that shit.

Never watching Argentina and Bosnias highlights again.

I know it is still painful. I remember I was watching the match with my folks and we were ready to go to street and celebrate for both match specially before we got that sucker punch of a goal by Messi but we were still proud. The match with Bosnia was a nerve breaking and painful game to watch. I walked out after second Bosnian goal and let others suffer the end of the match. People were angry and depress after that last match...

Bosnia's second goal certainly looked OFFSIDE. Another bad decision going our way.

That was very hard to recognize even with slow motion and that digital line. Referees are not robots, but our goal was a classic offside not one but four of our players were deep in offside.

Nekounam wasnt offside actually and the rest pulled back away from the play soon as heydari sent the ball in. Pretty sure it was the right call.

Watch it again. Gucci was in offside position but the movement was not offside cause neko took the ball and pass it to Gucci and he was behind the ball and not nearer to opponent's goal line than the actual ball. If the ball was behind Gucci then it would have been offside call! very tricky indeed.

The main issue is, you see they're powerless, they had no stamina after the Argentina game + the weather, it was rumble in the jungle.
Look at King Carlos how much he sweat, and now imagine you have to play football in this situation and remember you are Iranian

Get over it. WE just had a bad day. If we played NeXT day we would probebly have won 3:0. Bosnia was overrated as you see today they lose to many teams.
