Poll: Most popular Team Melli head Coach ever?

I'm interested to hear who do you guys think is the most popular coach we've ever had? I know the answer it's pretty obvious but I still would like to see if anyone thinks otherwise.

I personally think it's safe to say that Carlos Queiroz is the most popular head coach we've ever had. He's probably even more popular than our players as well. I've never seen witness people wanting to take picture with our head coach so much or give our coach so much love. People were usually excited to see our players but now they are more excited to see Carlos.

I remember Miroslav Blazevic was pretty popular as well but nothing close to Carlos. He had a high approval rating even after our loss against Ireland, however he ended up giving his position to Branko.

Regardless of the results, CQ is the most prominent one in our history. He has given given team melli an identity and style of game respected on international level, which we never had in the past.

I am not sure. A lot of the old-timers seem fond of Heshmat Mohajerani, particularly those who remember the 70's. While CQ is very salient, and popular in his own right, I don't think it's fair to stick him in with previous coaches. True test of popularity is always how history judges you. CQ will likely be up there though, no doubt about it.

I loved our squad under Belazhevic (Ciro). The team was simply awesome. Karimi was killing the opponents those days. my favorite matches were against Slovakia and S.Korea. We won both match 4-3 but with great attacking football. We didn't have a solid defense or a good goal keeper but our midfield and forward were simply good. GOOD OLE DAYS.

I heard a lot about Mohajerani from my uncles. So he might be among the best.

CQ helped us to over come the aging and retiring time of our golden generation. I didn't like his ultra defensive football at first but I started to appreciate his management and revitalizing our team specially after WC and had some hope after AC.

                For me

                1. Ciro
                2. CQ
                3. Muhajeran

4-3 win against South Korea was under Branko. Blažević ended with Iran after the loss against Ireland.

We had countless number of talents under Blazevic and he failed to qualify us to the world cup. Each one of those players were stars. Karimi, Bagheri, Neku, Daei, Mahdavikia, Nikbakht, Rezaie, Khodadad etc...

I think Ghotbi is probably the most popular coach of perspolis though. I guess that's for another thread, another poll

Mohajerani was popular during his times of course. Made us Asian champions, qualified us for the world cup and did pretty good in the Olympics.

                      but ill go with CQ...

Same squad. Branko was Blazh assistant who continued his style. But technically you are right. I loved the style of play. This thread is not about who was the greatest result giving coach poll says who was the most popular one. For me Blazh was the guy.

There are many more coaches in Asia or Europe whose style is dynamic and aggressive attacking type, something like the Brazil of the past. They may not be all the time victor, but majority of people enjoy watching them play. This is what I love about football and attracted me to the game. I love playing technical and having beautifully crafted tactics. It is like an art piece for me rather than a mechanical machine to get the final result.

Ghotbi wasn't that bad imo. Our defense was starting to improve under him.
