Always loved Javad- Great team player and an awesome captain and a very khoshtip guy as well .....He was never fancy but was always big in important games and scored many vital goals for Iran.

Nekounam was a great captain and will always be remembered for his vision and inspiration for the Iranian national team.

However, the Iranian national team is in a transitional state, where our youngsters are currently blossoming amazingly. Saeid Ezatollahi has been amazing in Nekounams place so far and plays as if he has been there for years.

With all due respect, it would not be a good solution for Nekounam to return to TM. Maybe as an inspiration as a part of the staff, like Beckham did with the English National team during the 2010 World, but not as a player.

Probably the best Captain/leader of TM we've ever had. I've been following Iran's football since 1993 and I can safely say he was the best captain we've ever had.
