      For your information

here is proof of the oldest artifact of shir o khorshid emblem that exists in hermitage museum in saint petersburg russia dating back to 3000~2400 years ago

Sorry, wrong again. We are talking about flags. We have lots of Ancient Iranian symbols, posting a picture like it's a grade school assignment means little.

Please post a picture of the Shir o Khorshid on a flag representing Iran before the Shia Safavids put it on theirs to represent the STATE and RELIGION.

      Stop talking nonsense.

I am glad you are living in the current era, the era of
37 years of killing, oppression , gender inequality, torture , hanging in public, stoning to death , lack of freedom of speech, corruption , lack of religious freedom
I'd rather live, which includes visiting my home land and enjoying the positives that we have today, than sit at my desk all day somewhere abroad dwelling on the past.... may I ask how many times you've had the chance to visit Iran?

You'd do the same if your country was hijacked by a bunch of uneducated, backward people who suppress human rights and won't shave.

You do realize a lot of political figures in Iran were actually educated in the United States?

For example, the two guys involved in the Nuclear talks:

Iran and Afghanistan are the only two countries in the world using " different language" on their flag other than their own language in both cases Arabic. That's embarrassing. How can you represent Iran when writing on the flag represents Arabs? Why not Persian? Why should I recognize that? I am not saying Shir o khorshid is the way to do it but at least it is not Arabic.

can we agree that the shiro khorshid flag is more Irooni then the sikh one? or is that too outrageous a statement?

This kind of stuff actually brings our players morales down, when they see a bunch of fans bringing politics into their game

A player that his morals will be brought down by seeing his people waive the one and only flag of his nation does not belong in TM.

Farsi is not the sole representative language of Iran?! There are kurds and arabs and turks and many other iranians who speak different languages. lol

yes, as long as the monarchist and the MKO stop using the flag as their own.

arseces jan, it is clear that you are a very wise man. Unfortunately some of the comment we are dealing with here are results of a long period of isolation, censorship and brainwash. You did your part by correcting them and if they are not willing or uncapable of accepting that, then i guess the saying goes "khalayegh harche layegh!".
