Do what your heart desires, not what someone else desires... wave the flag that you want and sing the anthem that you like. That's the only way to not bring politics into it.

IR doesn't represent Iran in what way? The high turn-out in elections every 4 years? Whether we like it or not, IR represents Iran both internally and externally (for now).
As for the Green band around Karimi's wrist is a sign against IR? Because, I always thought that was support for Mousavi who took part in IR Presidential elections, no?
By, all means feel free to take your Shir o Khorshid flag the 'true' flag of Iran and embarrass us further.
Just for you

Honestly, if you don't like Allah flag then take the flag with 'Iran' in the middle, it's much better and creates less problems...
To be against lion and sun is to be against history. no people do this much damage to their history as Iranians.

Ofcourse i will wave the shir o khorshid flag, what are you going to do about it? Nothing and keep waving a flag just with 'iran' in the middle, thats not a flag lol.
Just for you
TheBoss, it's not about what we were before, it's about what we are today. What is our flag today?
I swear to God, if tomorrow our people revolt and the flag turns to Shir o Khorshid, I will wave that flag every where that I go. I explained earlier, waving the flag doesn't mean agreeing with all the evil that has been committed by the authority.

How embarrassing that our people can't even unite over football.

no one is brining in politics, lion and sun is our flag
This is why we can't have nice things. It's going to be a long time before IFF allows another big-name friendly abroad again..Originally posted by shahin2000 View PostMaybe at some point... but the flag representing Iran RIGHT NOW does not have the shir o khorshid symbol in the middle. Have you seen it lately, say for the last 37 yrs?

Sorry but this is sheep mentality, you can't think for yourself and rather accept the system as it is than rather raising your voice and fight for your rights.
I will repeat again, waving a flag that is accepted both by the citizens and by the international community is what we must do. You can wave the IR flag and be against all the wrong things IR stands for. As Mousavi and Karoubi did, as Khatami does and as I do.

Thats not how it works in the real world, people will see you as a IR supporter meaning you are in favour of all their wrong doings. Just like how you see someone as political just because he is raising the shir o khorshid flag.

Originally posted by euphory View PostFalse, the flag is forced my man, people aren't allowed to show their different opinions, just like the elections where the citizens are not allowed to chose who they want. So tell me if ISIS takes over Iran you will be waving its flag?
Since, this is a Football thread, DM me and I will explain why there is no comparison between the two.
I have made all my arguments in a respectful manner in previous statements, I will no longer reply in this thread.

Based on your reasoning, if waving the IR flag is supporting Khomeini and oppression, then waving the Shir o Khorshid flag is supporting: Dictatorship, Savak mass torture and killing of Iranian people, MKO traitors... Do you want me to go on?
I'm your friend, the enemy is ignorance.
Shir o khorshid emblem is not a shahnshahi emblem its a 3000 year old emblem , long before shah was in power it was a known emblem amongst iranians, the previous dynasties before the Pahlavis used this emblem in the iranian flag
2 things happened her with your comment
1- you actualy didnt completely read my comment to see where i talk about the emblem and its origin and were quick to spread your anti pahlavi sentiment
2- at the same time you showed your historical illiteracy and ignorance, which truly is your enemy , and also your enemy (ignorance) wasted my time on providing you free education on the flag
Do a little more research before you comment
