The problem is people who go to stadiums with shir o korshid flags don't go to watch a soccer game. They are going to push their agenda. They want you to see "look at me look at me... I am still living in the pahlavi era.." That is it.. Get real guys... when you have a once in a lifetime chance to watch TM, then go watch TM... don't bring politics into it. You guys want nothing but attention.

its not about the flag as much as it is about the alphabet of the principals of loving your country , those that lack it write statements similar to what you wrote, the very same lack in principals installed the khomeni regime 37 years ago ,

the shocker again is not your statement , its my friend kiarash thanking it!

lmao! you got it totally wrong, it's my TM and my country. they are representing Iran and we go with our country's flag. Unfortunately, IR is being successful and after few generations people will lose their identity. we can see it here too....

C'mon now. Let's not make stuff up.

I love how everyone thinks the shir o khorshid is not a religious flag or a flag of oppression.

The first time the Shir o Khorshid flag was used in Iran was under the Safavids and it represented both State and Religion! It's the same f'n thing as the IR flag! The flag represented Shia Islam and Islamic Governance!

That flag was introduced by a dynasty that killed or forcefully converted non-Shias!

Please people, pick up a book and read a bit about your own history.

As has been pointed out, our true first flag was this:

Don't be fooled by these Shahi, MKO or IR people that want to play politics with our flag. Our true flag is the one above that was used by Cyrus and was for all Iranians regardless of religion or politics.

Can we please stop living in the past and look towards the future? Why are so many of our hamvatans so delusional-- we aren't living in the 70s anymore!

I don't want to interfere, but people should pick the flag they are attached to.

I think the shir o khorsid one is the way to go, but if one thinks something else..then so be it.

Har cheghadr mikhayeen zur bezanin go for it... you are just making yourself look like an idiot... I've been approached by several foreigners in events like these and they always ask which flag represents Iran? I have no choice but to say the shir o khorshid flag is a delusional flag still carried by people who are living in the '70s. Whether you like it or not, fortunately or unfortunately, the allah symbol is our flag right now. So don't make a fool of yourselves... if you are going to a game, either don't carry a flag or if you do, carry a proper one.

On the same note, I would not sing the so called national anthem too. Let's change that one too. I think the one made by Alfred Jean Baptiste Lemaire is much better

idiot? fool? what do you know about the history and what each item whether flag or not represents? use words that suitable to your own knowledge and don't insult unless you don't mind getting insulted back. if you want i can let people kindly get back at you here...!

again let's continue flag discussion in the othe rforum. link posted for a 2nd time

did you sing the national anthem of IR as well? which says
payamat ey emam esteghlal azadi naghsheh jan e mast

the anthem goes with the IR flag

I am glad you are living in the current era, the era of
37 years of killing, oppression , gender inequality, torture , hanging in public, stoning to death , lack of freedom of speech, corruption , lack of religious freedom
