I appreciate your effort for making the video. But this wasnt a good game from him. Even the 2-3 passes he got right wasnt good cause the second our player received the ball from him they got intercepted beacause he played the ball to late or played it to a player in a tight position.

He was much better in Chile game where he gave our players time to switch from defence to attack like a real cam, and he also held the ball when we needed to waste time. And also created danger in front of their goal puttning pressure on Chile.

Great dribbles by Masoud. He played really well, however he really needs to work on his passing accuracy though.

Shojaei might know how to dribble, but the guy can't pass a ball. I watched two minutes and there were so many passes where he either missed his target or completely gave the ball away: 7 seconds, 25 seconds, 46 seconds, 1:15. Sure he can dribble, but that's only one aspect of the game.

Great game by Masoud Shojaei like I always thought. Very intelligent player and he knows how to defend as well.

We are blessed to have a skillful, talented yet professional player in Masoud.

Definitely our best CAM we currently have.

              It's funny.

Some members criticize Shojaei for not coming back and defending and being lazy.
I found that a good 1/3 of his highlights was him intercepting a pass from the other team.

              Just a quick observation!
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

Masoud shireh. I love how he overtakes responsibility, asks for the ball and tries to make something out of it. Yes, he makes many mistakes, but no risk no gain.

^And when he loses the ball he immediately tries to get it back.

Unfortunately Masouds soccer IQ is not high....he slows the game down too much....he over-dribbles and chooses the wrong pass most times, You look at Xavi and iniesta without the doubt top 10 midfielders in the world and how quickly they get rid of the ball and only dribble when they have to. ... if only he was less selfish and consistent he could have been a huge help to us and himself, making a bigger name in Europe.

Currently, hes the best attacking midfielder we got tho so until we got someone filling his shoes hes the best we got.

The most impressive thing about his performance is that even with all the criticism and hate, he comes out time and time again and puts his all into it.

Btw did he play central attacking role rather than the wing this time?

If there's one thing you can NOT fault Shojaei with, it's being lazy or his defensive duties which is why I think CQ likes him so much.

He's VERY active, involved and hard working in defense and would be almost perfect in that aspect if he didn't occasionally give away fouls in very sensitive positions.

This is a rare quality in iranian footballers and is a major reason I value him. Gotta love that fight in him.

When I realize I always had faith in Masoud and now see other members side with me as well looking at the posts in this thread:

I admit it though, I am probably his biggest fan on PFDC.
