he played well in both games. in the game against chile he did everything but score(typical shojaei mess up). Good to see masoud in good form again. masoud could have really been special if he was quicker and more accurate in his passing.Comment

As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.Comment

First of all I have to thank you for the video and the time you put into making the video
although shojaies performance was better than his other games, most of his dribbles aree unnecessary , useless, and mainly it is bunch of dribble to no where, he forgets at times that his role is to create chances but by dribbling and circling around himself he slows down the paste of the game , tires himself and when he dribbles the 2 or 3 opponent players out of rush he makes passes that either gets intercepted or puts his teammate in the uncomfortable position to fight for the ball or watch it go out , if he passes the ball the moment he gets it he can be more usefulComment

He had alright games against both Chile and Sweden IMHO, but I'm really failing to see the amazing performance.
90 minutes of play, condensed into over 4 minutes of video with maybe 2 or 3 plays that would be considered good (cross to Ashkan, play involving cross to Gucci, and one nice long ball to Ashkan I think it was) with a whole bunch of screw ups, bad shot, bad passes, bad foul in a dangerous position, etc. hardly sets the standard for an amazing performance.
I really think we should set the bar higher for a CAM to string a few 10-20 yard passes together and do unnecessary dribbles in our own half. Shojaei's goal and assist record for TM is not really something to write home about IMHO and that's not an irrelevant record for a CAM.
Of course, we don't really have a lot of people to compare him too because he has been part of the team for so long but if you recall Rafaei's game against Iraq, the guy was phenomenal in terms of effective through passes and controlling he midfield even though he wasn't synched with his team mates.
So, we really do need to play other people in that position and do it often to see what they can do.
