That's our league's performance in the Champions league from 2002 to December 2014, pretty solid I'd say. We definitely have one of the top 4 leagues in Asia.
Japanese teams have been horrible lately as well in the champions league, much worse than our teams this year, it doesn't mean they don't produce great players. The same applies to us.Comment

Almost all decent Japanese footballers play abroad and in top European clubs, Should they have their great players in their domestic league, certainly they'd do much better. Compare that with our legionaires' status and teams they play for...
