Just in: women allowed in sporting events

according to navad site, sazemaneh amniateh keshvar has approved the presence of women and families in sporting events. the article refers to "salonhayeh varzeshi" so i am guessing football stadiums is still not included however other sporting events such as volleyball are. of course before they were allowed but became banned after. hopefully this will be extended to all sports very soon.

به گزارش وب سایت نود و به نقل از ایرنا، عبدالحمید احمدی روز شنبه افزود: سال گذشته وزارت ورزش وجوانان آیین نامه جامع خود را برای حضور خانواده ها و زنان در سالن های ورزشی به شورای امنیت کشور ارائه کرد که خوشبختانه اواخر سال ۹۳مورد تایید این شورا قرار گرفت.

وی یادآور شد که این طرح با در نظر گرفتن تمامی جوانب و با رویکردی ایجابی تنظیم شده است.

وی با بیان اینکه سالن های ورزشی را باید به سمت حضور خانواده ها برد تا با خروج از حالت تک بعدی فضای سالن های ورزشی تلطیف شود، افزود: این طرح مجموعه ای از ملاحظات فرهنگی، اجتماعی و شرعی است، البته در برخی رشته های ورزشی نه خانواده ها طالب حضور هستند و نه امکان حضور وجود دارد، زیرا تعدادی از این ورزش ها مردانه است.

معاون وزیر ورزش و جوانان در باره اینکه آیا این طرح در سراسر کشور اجرایی می شود یا خیر؟ گفت: پیش بینی هایی در این زمینه صورت گرفته است و حضور خانم ها و خانواده ها در سالن های ورزشی به تناسب رشته ها بستگی دارد که ما نیز تصمیم داریم این طرح را در سال جاری اجرا کنیم.

سال گذشته اعلام شد که برخی مجامع بین المللی ورزشی از جمله فدراسیون بین المللی والیبال از ایران خواسته اند تا زمینه حضور بیشتر زنان را در سالن های ورزشی با توجه به آیین نامه ها و مقررات بین المللی ورزشی مهیا کند.

معاون فرهنگی،آموزشی و پژوهش وزیر ورزش وجوانان بهمن ماه سال گذشته با یادآوری اینکه این وزرات خانه آیین نامه جامع خود را برای حضور خانواده ها و زنان درسالن های ورزشی به شورای امنیت کشور ارائه کرده است،گفته بود که منتظر اعلام نظر مراکز ذیصلاح در این باره هستیم.

احمدی در باره مهمترین برنامه های این وزاتخانه در سال جاری خاطرنشان کرد: برنامه های متعددی در دستور کار این وزارت خانه قرار دارد که به ترتیب اولویت در شورای معاونین مطرح و دنبال می شود.

وی به برگزاری نخستین نشست شورای معاونین در سال جاری که امروز برگزار می شود اشاره کرد و گفت: یکی از مهمترین موضوعات این نشست بررسی اصلاح اساسنامه فدراسیون ها است که جزو اولویت اصلی این وزارتخانه خواهد بود.

معاون وزیر ورزش ازدیگر برنامه های این وزراتخانه را پیگیری و حمایت های لازم درباره کسب سهمیه المپیک ریو برشمرد و گفت: ساماندهی باشگاه های خصوصی که خدمات عمومی ورزشی ارائه می کنند از دیگر برنامه هاست.

به گفته معاون وزیر ورزش و جوانان دنبال کردن موضوعات آمورزشی برای مدیران و مربیان به طور تخصصی تر نیزازدیگر مواردی است که در دستور کار این وزاتخانه قرار می گیرد.

Football is the most popular sport in the world and they still don't allow women to attend football games.

This isn't called improvement IMO. The real problem isn't addressed.

It is the 3rd most played sport in the country and the number 1 sport in many provinces. Azadi hall is always filled for TM games and our league has a good attendane and is one of the best leagues in the world.

Feel free to run for office in Iran, it may mean changing some of your beliefs, but if you think the 'problem' is not answered, do something about it yourself. I welcome the change only IF it actually will exist in practice; perhaps some women will be happy now that they can go to indoor sporting events. Since you can go to all of these it is probably not important for you.

Small steps grasshopper. Iran is in a region where women can't vote, drive cars, or leave their house (in some cases) without a male companion. It neighbours a country where a false accusation about burning a religious book lead to an educated woman to be beaten to her death by uneducated males! I personally believe this is a small step in the right direction...keeping the pressure up, discussing these issues, and bringing appropriate attention will force change from within, and without the shedding of blood or loss of lives others advocate.
