Btw I thought Karrar left Iran and didn't come back? And it kills me seeing Enayati as the captain of Esteghlal..
That shows how professional our football is.

K. Rezaei certainly has potential but he still has to prove himself more to be worthy of a call-up, even Hassanzadeh out of nowhere is outshining him currently (Both are doing well in general but Hassanzadeh is scoring most of the goals). That doesn't take away the fact that he, along with other strikers in the league, are still better than Ansarifard.
But before any of these youngsters Sharifi should be the one given some call-ups more regularly instead of Karim so that he can be tested, especially against first round WCQ minnows.
IMO Sharifi is the most balanced Iranian striker in our league, he has a great all-around game and his shooting especially is amazing, his confidence is much higher than what we usually produce in that position. He hasn't had enough opportunities to prove himself under CQ and now is the perfect time to do so.

didn't mean to asign a ranking to Kaveh within the group of new striker options that should be called up, just that he should be one of them.

Ansarifard was better than all of these players (when he was their age) in the IPL.
We have seen this far too often, where players shine in our league, but can't quite pull the same performances in ACL or TM.
I am not saying that these guys won't amount to anything (i would love if all of them did), all I am saying is we don't have the patience to let them fail once in a while.
Ansarifard had one game against Qatar in Doha (first round of qualifying, not the last round) where he missed 2 good chances, and the kid was absolutely roasted. Keep in mind this was about 3 or 4 years ago. So a 21 or 22 year old KA was thrown under the bus for a few missed chances.
Or how about calling him "BIGHEYRAT", in a match in his own god damn country against Maldives of all teams, because he stayed in Saipa for 1 more year? Again, he was still 21 or 22 at the time.
What do you think that does to a players confidence?
Don't forget this kid scored 20+ goals 2 seasons in a row. Much more than anything Sharifi, Rezaei, Taremi, or Hassanzadeh have done.
Most likely we will grill these youngsters the same way we did Ansarifard, after a few failed attempts. Which is extremely sad.

I would compare ansarifard's fall from grace to be similar to Torres's (different quality of players of course)
As a striker in Europe, once you lose your confidence you will not either get another chance nor might you ever go back to your old self.
Ansarifard showed in Perspolis that he can't handled any expectations put upon him.

Did Sardar even play 10 games in Lige Bartar? Or even 5?
Ansarifard lost his confidence much earlier than his move to Europe.
He lost his confidence as a 21 year old who had the expectations of the country on his shoulders and no room for error.

He showed immediately after couple of PP and TM games that he was very nervous and simply couldn't handle it. It happens, the risk is there in every country, not only in Iran, sadly it happened to one of our biggest talents of that moment Karim, but it doesn't mean every player will go through the same thing. This is part of the game, he is a professional and needs to handle this type of pressure in a better way, which he failed to do so.
And I disagree that he was better just because he was top scorer; Sharifi, Rezaei, Taromi etc.. have some qualities that Karim lacked.
Now the way things are going unfortunately for all TM fans of course, Karim is on a free fall and rapid decline, showing that he doesn't have enough confidence to adapt to the European playing style so far and making it look like his "European career" won't last that long. We all want all Iranian players to be successful and develop in Europe but unfortunately things are not going in Karim's way at all ATM.
We have no choice but to try out and give other deserving youngsters a chance, if we always think that he might not handle the pressure and will fade away, we will never advance and our young talents won't develop like they should.

I had big expectations for him towards 2012 but as soon as I saw his performance with PP, and ultimately his transfer to Tractor, I somehow completely lost hope. This was the crucial moment for him to go to Europe, and he didn't.

They definitely deserve a chance. I just hope we are more nurturing when they don't live up to expectations immediately.
One more thing about Karim... Look at his confidence levels in Saipa and TM Omid and TM Senior before the move to PP, and look at his confidence after the move to PP.
As soon as the fans started making fun of him and throwing him under the bus, he changed and never really found his foothold again. I have no doubt that we as fans hurt him a lot. Especially at such a young age.

If ansarifard had the confidence of enayati he would be starting in TM scoring goals left and right, the guy lost his confidence, he dsnt look like he is getting it back, being benched in osasuna isnt helping him, he needs a massive change in his career or else his spot will be given to one of the new youngstersBookmark the PFDC Calendar for TM & WCQ games
