The preliminary groups for WC qualification in the asian zone will be drawn on 14th of April.

We will rest on matchday 1 and will play away to a team from seed 4 on matchday 2. This is according to the schedule on Wikipedia which is the same as the one who was used in the final round of last wcq. We should try to arrange a good friendly on 11 june!

Haji with CQ leaving, are good friendlies will be the likes of Bahrain,Yemen,DPR KOREA if were like Armenia,Georgia(i dont even know if the have a football squad) etc..we might be able to get Japan as well But the likes of Chili or sweden will be long gone.

We don't want Saudi or Qatar this round. The former is tricky and comes with a lot of bad blood and without CQ our team wont be disciplined enough to prevent emotions getting in the way. Let Australia/SK/Japan deal with them. It would be nice for UAE or Saudi to eliminate each other also. Qatar will have heavy officiating help this WCQ and should be avoided at all costs. Any other team should be more than beatable and hopefully not to far away.

Haji jan, I am not trying to turn this into another CQ debate, I just want to point out that the Team Melli has previously played friendly matches with big name teams. While CQ is a high profile coach, its not like he brought the sport to Iran and started it from the ground up. This is an end to one of the chapters of Team Melli, at this point no one knows what the new chapter will have in store for us, but lets be patient and see what happens.

I am excited for the WCQ campaign. While they always end up being an emotional roller coaster, TM has achieved some great success at times.
