But this isn't about Edinho. What I said was a general thing, it isn't anything new! PP has been doing this almost every season for the past years and years. Just adding new players and coaching staff every new season isn't going to solve anything, like you have seen yourself. Almost every season a new coach and staff is brought in who demands his own set of players, who is then fired (or steps down) somewhere throughout the season or at the end of it and and the cycle continues.
You need to give a coach and a group of players time to become a real team! That's what I'm saying.
Actually it is quite the opposite for Persepolis....the core of the team from last year remained (Alishah, Taremi, Bengar, Makani, Umaña, Nourolahi, etc.) in addition to a normal amount of new comers so I don't see how we have bought an unreasonable amount?

Esteghlal has actually changed far more than any other team in the league with Rahmati, Cheshmi, Ansari, Majidi, Hajmohammadi, Peric, and a new coach in mazloumi.

Anyhow, the management for the first time in years has shown trust in one coach and is allowing him to do his job hence the immense improvement we have seen in the team. This is the first time this cycle you are alluding to is completely absent so idk how you came up with this idea! The results will be even more evident come April if they aren't obvious enough as of yet.

Again: it was a general statement of what we have seen in the last decade!

Look at the number of managers from 2006:

Arie Haan - 2-3 months in charge
Denizli - less than a year
      Ghotbi - 1 season
Peyrovani - less than 3 months
Vingada - less than 4 months
Kranjcar - less than 6 months
Daei - 1.5 seasons (the longest out of all)
Estili - less than 6 months
      Denizli - 6 months
      Manuel Jose - 5 months
      Golmo - 5-6 months
Daei - more than a year
      Derakhshan - 6-7 months
      Branko -

So that's 14 coaches in 9 years out of which 12 new names! And 18 managers since the start of IPL (18 in 15 years) out of which 9 times a foreigner (counting Ghotbi as an Iranian)!
The longest you've had a coach in the last decade has been Daei (1.5 seasons). And the achievements have been minimal! One championship and 2 Hazfi cups, and close to nothing in ACL!
How is that a healthy system?!

And btw, since you brought up Esteghlal, well we have had only 11 coaches in 15 years, out of whom only 6 new names and only one foreigner (Koch in 2002).

So PP: 14 coaches in 9 years
while Esteghlal: 11 coaches in 16 years

Abbaszadeh joins Rah Ahan. Such a shame he couldn't stay at Perspolis

This guy was a promising player, too bad he ruined himself

Actually a few days ago I was thinking about him, wondering where he is. I mean is he even playing at any clubs? What a waste of such great talent...

BTW the main and sole reason for Perspolis management to have kept Branko for almost a year is mainly because of the massive fans support, Perspolis has not had such solid and huge support for either of its previous coaches in the past decade. The management is well aware of the consequences of a potential Branko sacking!

Haghighi won't even get much playing time in Persepolis, why would Branko need him when he has talented players like Nourollahi, Kamandani who are as good if not better? No need to mention Kamyabinia who is obviously a much better player.

Saba was the perfect team for him, considering they also have a good chance to finish above Persepolis in the league, and have absolutely no hashieh, but ofc he screwed it up. Maybe he can choose some other teams like Zob Ahan or Saipa who could do with an additionnal DM although in both cases he most likely won't even be a starter

What happened to Haghighi? How did he screw it up? Why didn't the venture work?

Reza Haghighi in top form looked like a monster and was a unique DM in PGL due to his physical attributes. Several injuries made it difficult for him to stay in form, but he was still part of TM, until he decided to go for money & completely disappeared for a while. As a Perspolis fan I would give him a second chance, but as Z Joon said he will have a hard time. Branko said he is happy with his current team and the fans are not on good terms with Haghighi. Even if he still manages to join us, with Nourollahi and Kamyabinia he needs to work hard to earn a place - not sure if he is capable to do so considering him being injury prone.

It would be ridiculous to sack Branko now. Just let him finish the season with the club.

I'm glad to have him back, he's young and can still turn things around. He was turning into a beast but injuries and inconsistent form really screwed him. He'll have to prove himself though because Nourolahi has been a phenomenal DM and kamyabinia has been progressing

So injuries + searching for a more lucrative contract at Padideh was the reason for him falling of the radar? He seemed to be an alternative for Nekounam before the emergance of Ezatolahi.

his biggest positives were that he was a huge and strong guy but was still fast.

He is VERY injury prone and is nowhere near the caliber of ezatollahi

Nobody said that he was near the caliber of Ezatolahi. I said that when he was called up in the NT he seemed to be a good substitute for the Nekounam position until he faded and the emergence of Said in that position.
