CQ staying was never confirmed in any reliable website anyway. I don't know why my friends and guys here in PFDC were so sure about it

No, it sounds pretty good actually and I think the whole interview would have been a lot more positive and less confusing, if he just went with that theme, that I like to stay, I'm under contract to stay but there are a lot of issues that need to be resolved and we all need to be united and work together to resolve them.

That would have been a clear message that he's committed to TM despite whatever management and financial problems exist in IFF. And ultimately, that's the decision he has to make and I thought he made during the last meeting.

Neither of those problems are going to be solved overnight, so the fans need a clear answer on whether he sees the possibility that these problems can be worked out gradually and h would be happy to continue leading TM, or not. A simple yes or no would do.

I think the conclusion that can be taken from this mess is the following:

CQ will stay but he wants to use 100% of Iran's capacity in order to reach the world cup, and no BS.
And he can only do this by pressuring IFF so they do the things he needs (proper fascilities / preparations / etc)

            CQ press conference

Khabar Varzeshi just posted CQ's words on instagram.

He also said: "chareyi jooz mandan nadaram." (i have no other choice but to stay)

                Genius move by Kafashian.

Publicly supporting CQ, getting people to assume IFF actually wants CQ while in private meetings making it hard for CQ to stay.
Then CQ will leave Iran and people will say the IFF wanted him to stay but CQ refused...

Down with the Iranian media. Nothing reliable ever comes out of them.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

I don't think there's a confusion. What he is saying, almost directly, is that the promises IFF has made are not going to be fulfilled. He doesn't want to stay but since his "friendly" resignation (meaning no penalties) is not accepted he has to stay. Under contract means that if he resigs he has to pay a 3 month salary back to IFF (which I read is close to 640,000 dollars). So IFF won't do what he has proposed for TM's improvement, but won't accept that he just leaves without paying a penalty, so he has to stay.. There

This whole fiasco has made me like CQ less... Nigga loves his monay too much, as if he isn't getting paid over 1mill a year.
                      Support Iran until the end

What he is saying makes complete sense. Again, only if you have ever lived and worked in Iran will you completely understand what he is saying and know all the garbage he has to go through.

I bet there are thousands of people in Iran who wish they could say the same thing about their current employment, but fear losing their job or be imprisoned.

He has frustrations with how things are handled and is taking them to the media.

Good for him for exposing our lack of minimum management standards (or in non-polite terms, corruption). In Iran, the trend is, once you get to a high position, milk it for as much as you can. One only needs to look at our football to see this.

People who criticize CQ for speaking out like this act as if Iran is a bastion of perfect management and we have no problems in that area and CQ is being picky.

My suggestion to anyone who doubts how screwed up Iran is, is to go and try to accomplish any simple thing with any gov't agency, like getting a driver's license, and report back on their experience. Only then will they realize how f'd up everything is.

I hope CQ continues to call everyone out for the BS.

Even easier, go to Iranian Embassy website of DC and download and try to fill out a form for your passport renewal or apply for a Shenasnameh and see how screwed up the form is. The amount of unnecessary questions and documents they ask you is insane. I lost my passport and didn't know when was the last time that I flew from Iran and I had to send someone in Iran to go and figure it out. They still don't have these important data saved in a computer and you still have to go to the actual office in Iran.

I don't think anyone has any doubts about the financial or management problems in IFF or more generally in the country. CQ has been working there for 4 years now and he knows the limitations as well as anyone else, if not better. He also knows the pace of progress (if any) has been and will be super slow.

We all want things to change for the better and it would be GREAT if these things could change overnight. But anyone who knows how things operate in Iran should know that this will not happen, not at the pace that we or CQ are expecting anyway (that's if it ever happens).

The only question for TM fans at this point should be whether CQ can stay and work with these limitations and be successful. If it's no, we don't really have time to putz around for another two months and the IFF is responsible for finding a resolution to this ASAP. That's my issue as far as IFF is concerned.

If yes, then CQ has to be committed to doing his job regardless of these issues. If he wants to campaign for change once he has committed to staying and as the person in charge of TM, then all the power to him. It's the ambivalence about the job that's an issue for me personally as far as CQ is concerned.

I want IFF to give him all the support that he needs as much as anyone else, but if they're unwilling or unable to provide it, they can't just keep the guy when he doesn't think he will be successful under these circumstances. We can't just set the guy up for failure and keep him hostage over $600k in damages.

For the sake of TM, both parties need to find a resolution to this and do it fast. How hard is it to set up a donation mechanism for fans to pitch in $10 or more to fix TM's training facilities or find a sponsor and name the training grounds after them?!

I really don't blame CQ for being frustrated but being frustrated isn't going to solve any of our problems.
