Those kids are really confident compared to the usual Iranian standards.
They may not play the best football around and are too dependant on some of their best players but they made it to the finals. They're physically really strong compared to the other teams.
As you may have seen Sadra Taher(pic attached to my post) is the best goalscorer of the tournament so far if I'm not wrong. He's really strong physically, covers the ball very well and scores pretty easily. Too selfish though.
The player that impressed me the most is Alireza Sharifi. He's the engine of the team in the midfield.
Outstanding what Mahdavikia has done. Should be a role model for every Iranian club out there; get your acts together and our football crazy country is nothing short of the top European teams. Our kids have the drive and passion they just need the institutions around them that’ll let them thrive.
If we had 10 more organizations like Kia FC our teams would be head and shoulders above Asia
