I just hope our boys will shine in the euro competitions to open doors for more homegrown talents. Our players are by no means worse than Japanese/Korean if given a chance. Hopefully, our turn will come soon.

Europe's Japanese love is really frustrating but Japanese players get what they deserve today. Most of their legionnaires in the top leagues have been successful and this opens up for other Japanese to move to European teams. Mainz earned 10M for selling Okazaki to Leicester last summer and Hannover earned 8M for selling Kiyotake to Sevilla this summer. That's why they keep signing Japanese players with raw talent. I hope guys like Azmoun and JB will trigger a wave of Iranian players moving to the top leagues.

this smells overall like another 2010 afc cheating. they clearly do not only prevent iran winning asian cup every single time, but cant accept iran going into world cup twice in a row. they will be massive arab-korean-chinese cooperation against iran. expect some saudi, qatari, and emirati money and bribing as well!
just think about the qatar-korean cooperaton of 2013. qatar let in like 8 goals against uzbek in order to get iran out!

Ok some people are overexaggerating here.
Qatar cheats yes but this doesnt help them out either. South Korea could care less about whether we qualify or not outside of us NEEDING TO BEAT THEM to go through.
Newsflash: we were never going to play Syria's home game against us in Iran. It would have been in some Arab country where the airport would keep our boys for hours and mess with them with a terrible pitch and a 1-0 loss.
None of that will happen in Macao.
Just play the game and we should qualify. I for one am happy since Macao is still a neutral ground for us against Syria. In an empty stadium, we win against Syria 9/10.
If our team plays as a unit and stays disclipined... so no Pouladi diving or Alavi shoving BS we will have the upper hand against every team unless they are truly better.
That doubt you have at the smallest things like referees and venues is the same doubts that make Iranian athletes come up short. Self belief is what makes average teams like USA tie Portugal and teams like ours take Argentina to the brink.
If anyone does bribery..its Qatar. Saudi and UAE can bribe their own geoup members and Austealia and Japan will knowingly smash them.

Should we even BE surprised?
Now lets get back to sending BILLIONS of dollars to these toilet holes and make a bad name for the name of 'Iran'. All at the cost of IRANIAN sucfering and going hungry!!
