In my opinion they are a stronger South Korea. I see similarities in their play. I think we have a great chance based on style matchups. I don' think they play anything like Iran. I think our most important preparation should be having Ashkan fit for this game. I think if we can get him to just give his all in this game and sit out for the rest of the games it would really be worth it. He is going to be essential to our counter-attacking link up.

We have issues against direct and physical teams, not teams who pass the ball around. Iran's strength is being compact and pressing when they don't have the ball and then counterattacking. If we can have a good midfield press, we will easily outmuscle their physically weak midfield and cut out their passing lanes, causing us to capitalize on their mistakes and have chances on the break.

I think Montazeri and PAG will be more than enough to deal with them.

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!
If Defenders were allowed to use their hands to stop Karimi -

God after watching the way their midfield plays, it makes me so much more mad that Ezatolahi got suspended. We would've been golden with him playing. I just remember the SK game in Tehran and how he pretty much neutralized their entire midfield on his own. We will sorely miss both him and Ali Karimi for this Morocco game.
