    Poor "SD" quality of Iran live broadcast of sports

    It's really embarrassing to see that ALL Asian countries who participate in different competitions in Asia even countries who have no budget compared to us, have now a full HD broadcast capability EXCEPT in IRAN.

    This is freaking stupid and giving the fans a bad name as it portrays us as ignorant and indifferent for not putting pressure on our TV and government to broadcast the games or any other sporting event in FULL HD or just STOP DOING IT and contract it out to those who can do this so we don't go on embarrassing us more. just don't know how we could even make this a subject they will look at.

    and again in Iran. this time we just convert the SD into a fake HD and post it as HD just wow.


    very soon we all need magnifying glasses to be able to see our games well.

    Absolutely terrible quality. It sucks when you are trying to make videos as well, which I am sure you know full well.

    Leaving the quality aside, the amount of camera angles we have is embarrassing too.

    Many of our stadiums only have the one camera. When it shows a slow motion replay it just uses the same footage as the original play, zoomed the hell out.

    Sighhh... The world is moving towards 4K quality, and Iran can't even get an HD broadcast going. Our whole country is behind modern times in various areas, no surprise that broadcasting quality is no different.

        If they buy 10 proper cameras for each stadium and fix the hd broad casting issue our league would be so much more professional.

        The problem is Seda Sima is already making so much money so they're probably thinking why should I spend another $10 million dollar when it's not going to make any difference in our revenue. Typical persian mentality.

          Typical Haji bazari mentality. Why do you attach it to Persians? How do you feel to say typical Kurdish or Azeri mentality?

            don't worry IR has HD but just wants us to suffer as Hispan TV, PressTv and IRIB propaganda machines have all HD versions available but still shows the games highlights in SD.. so what else could this mean?

              No thanks man. Unless it's not 240p and 4:3 resolution, it's not Iranian football to me. Not the same feeling.

                They can broadcast football games in HD tomorrow if they want but they don't like that. Why? Football is very popular and brings masses together. IR is always afraid for this, remember that.

                Thats why they don't give a shit about our football. They dont give funding to TM as well for the same reasons I mentioned. IR wants to have control.

                  True it's more like haji bazari but iranians in general don't like to make long term investements. They like to invest $1 million and get a return in the next 2-3 years.

                    They don't invest anything in our football probably because they can't get any big sponsorship deals. Either because Iranian masses don't have money or because they don't spend their money like other groups. That's how the media is at least in the states, corporate America will never get behind anything or produce it if it doesn't make money. That's why you see the majority of media and advertisements in the states usually geared toward the same few demographics.

                          I know we shouldn't use others as examples to continue this low quality streaming of our football.

                          But doesn't the Argentinian league broadcast their football in the same quality?

                            True, Brazilian/Mexican/Chilean leagues and several other south american leagues, Uzbekistan as well if I'm not mistaking. Nonetheless it's not a reason they should really make an effort and give us some higher quality, but we all know it's not going to happen any soon.

                              Brazil, Mexico & Chile offer HD for their leagues. Same with Argentina.
