Az koozeh haman dar ayad ke dar oost......
Much has been said and written about Iranian players and the lack of talent at national team level over the last decade. what certain Iranian coaches and US/Iranian TV shows dont want you to know and dont want to address is the simple fact that what you get in any national team is what you produce at your league level. If in fact Iranian football has failed to progress and if in fact we have failed in our national team, it is a finger pointed directly at our league coaches. No national team coach has the time to teach basics and fundamentals. That stuff has to be taught at youth and club levels.
Time and time again we see our clubs failing to execute the basics and fundemental football rules on the pitch. Hamed Lak in today's important and vital Asian championship game demonstrated just that. Lak single handedly cost Teraktor the game. This was at home in front of a decent home crowd. Who are Iranian GK coaches? Old, outdated and SONATEE coaches such as Sajadi and Faryadshiran are some of the names in Iran. Golampour, one of Iran's worst ever GK ( also known in the football circles as GOLAM KOOR) was PP goalkeeper coaches at one point. These coaches dont have the proper education and are unable to teach the fundamentals. The result is what you see at TM and Asian games.
Ironically, these old and uneducated coaches are also usually without a job and the first line of attack towards any foreign coach that comes to Iran. It blows my mind that these coaches produce the type of product that we see in our league and in our NT, and yet they criticize and run coaches such as Ivic, Blazvic, Krunchar, Ivankovic and Denizli off. Absolutely mind boggling.
