You must be forgetting where these matches are taking place. In the Asian Conference between rival middle eastern countries and tensions are high. You can't compare this to the European matches you see every week. The atmosphere is different, the stakes are higher, and the whole attitude is different in general. Don't forget Kaebi had a brushup like this where he got arrested 4ish years ago.

Im surprised you all jumped the gun on our own players like that.
Abbas this is not acceptable where is the joke in your post, who is this posting under abbs's name

honestly if you are putting your heart out for the team, and someone says that you suck right in front of your face, it would be very hard not to get emotional. Hell, you guys hold khanzadeh to a very high standard, the guy is a "professional" in an unprofessional league ffs

Final update: Khanzadeh deducted 30% of his wage and Branko allows him back into team. My last take on this whole issue, Khanzadeh is a young player and has somewhat of a temper. He was badly insulted and reacted in a worse way, but he is not the idiot sort of guy like Sadeghian, apart from the Asian Games thing he is relatively cam hashieh. Obviously he is very sorry and I don't think he is a violent person, hopefully he will learn and move on. And also the Persepolis Disciplinary Committee did a excellent job handling this isse.

Yes Arseces jaan, his behaviour isn't respectable at all and unprofessional. However, if we keep puting the onus on the players to keep their cools in order to admonish all the insults and epithets fans yell at the players, that allows for fans to keep pushing the boundary of things to say to players. These players are human and when you start yelling insults to them after they put it all on the line for 90+ minutes in a hostile environment, of course some will react like that.

I really hope that the fan left with a black eye.

Insult a player after a loss away from home, what do you expect?

Fine of 30% of his contract is way too excessive and more of a thieving, scandalous and BS punishment by the club ..!

they only get 30% of their salary any way so this was he can end up winning even if he gets 50%

I was all for seeing khanzadeh face some kind of punishment, but 30% is far too unreasonable. I think something like a 5-10% fine would be more than enough.

Does anyone know the details of his contract and know the dollar amount he will be paying? Very interested to see

On the bright side it seems that he feels sorry for his actions now so hopefully he learned from his mistake and won't repeat it again as it is very likely that he'll encounter another moron fan in the future.

These kind of stuff happens all over the world, right - but the point is in Iran it happens way too often and only seems to get worse as well. All we see is Khanzadeh beating & insulting a fan - only few actually want to see what actually leads our players to react like that. It’s not only about what happens in the video, it’s much much deeper than that...

The keyboard warriors wishing to beat & hurt some young players only prove to have worse anger issues than them. They get aggressive by just sitting behind their computer - don’t want to know what they would have done in Khanzadeh's place, but I do know how they actually would react if Khanzadeh really stands in front of them.

The whole time we have been saying "they are professional, "they get paid"... as an excuse to treat them like shit. In reality WE, the fans, play the most important role and have some duties as well. IMO a club/team is the representation of its fan base. We can’t behave like bunch of violent idiots , but still expect our players to act differently. I think it's absolutely laughable and kind of pathetic how we insult families, bash & pressure, throw bottles, stones or firecrackers...etc. but as soon as one player cant withstand all the humiliation anymore we are shocked and act like "oh my god, did you see this " - claiming they are a shame to our culture, destroyed our "aberoo", are an insult to Cyrus the great, are not true Aryans....oh please! Unprofessional fans expect professional players to come out of an unprofessional corrupted environment. First fix the damn federation, culture....then you can seriously demand the players to be professional as well.

The problem is as soon as one youngster behaves badly we want to kick him out, ban him and destroy his image, which is is all part of our "hero <-> zero" culture. I agree that likes of Khanzadeh should not be invited to TM, it's better for both parties. A player should be mentally stable at the national team and not lose control easily. However it’s different when it comes down to club level. Clubs should not only use their players, but they must take care of them! On & off the field. Go ahead & kick out Khanzadeh, nothing will change. He most likely will go from club to club and will just join the long list of wasted talents. Neither will he benefit from it, nor Iranian football.

What Khanzadeh did was shameful, no doubt. He MUST be dealt with it, especially since it's not the first time. However the way we are trying to portray some 23 old player as some kind of thug and animal is also shameful. All of the sudden people care about his haircut and label him as soosol. WTF is this and what the hell does this have to do with the situation? As Ali Daei said in his recent interview, being a "celebrity" in Iran is more difficult. You don’t have much freedom since every mistake will be hyped up.

What the fake "fan" on facebook wrote sounds like complete BS. Sorry, indeed I was not there and all these are just speculations, but I don’t believe what he says. Look at the reaction, no one turns that quick and throws a punch without being seriously insulted. That "fan" is an asshole for not only insulting his own players, but also being cocky enough to spread lies and making himself look like the poor innocent victim.

                                Anyway,
I wish Khanzadeh was the problem, because then all we had to do is to kick him out - a short term decision that would have no effect. Players come and go, it’s the fan culture we have to change! If we treat all youngsters like that, of course some of them will flip out and lose it like that. So its time to start to take a look at ourselves, at our culture, before we complain & blame others.

I am happy Branko gives him a second chance, it’s a smart decision IMO. Now Khanzadeh knows next time he will be kicked out without any tarof and hopefully will use this as a motivation to prove everyone wrong by performing on the field. Perspolis is a mess, Branko needs to install the same "NO-BS" spirit as CQ did in TM.
Well said! Khanzadeh was wrong in what he did and he is being punished for it, but it is beyond amazing how people here now sweat at him and even insult his appearance (haircut lmao).. Truly shameful.
