Indeed this match and the following World Cup (1998) was one of our football's most exciting and surprising footballing era for the country. However I was exceptionally hyped up and excited to see our boys perform during 2004 AC and 2006 WC as we had one of our most decorated and star-studded TMs ever. Too bad for WC 2006 our entire team in Germany went through a chaos and disarray caused by some of our star players, thus a below-expected performance throughout the group stage.

Nevertheless it's always delightful watching our teams play in international stages.

I think people always forget that Ali Karimi was not even fully ready at 2006 world cup and even though he wasn't fully ready and struggled with injury, he still owned Ronaldo.

It's very unfortunate that Karimi and many other of our best players were not fully ready and in top condition that year. we went into that world cup saying, we will beat Mexico and Angola and draw Portugal and we could have achieved that if our team was in a better shape.

Anyway, the point is I was very excited at 2006, in both games against Mexico and Portugal we played great, unfortunately we got scored on because of individual mistakes made by our players. Still, although heartbreaking, 2006 was fun to watch.

But I'm telling you in that stadium, the was we played, we all thought we are going to win or at least tie, messis goal just broke my heart, i was not expecting that at all, but after the game i wasn't too sad, i got over it, we played a good game against argentina, but after the bosnia game i was destroyed, i got very drunk, started shouting at the seda o sima guy in a interview he was doing with me, and then i went to the hotel and slept until the next day, woke up even more depressed, i just wanted to leave brazil
Lol I remember that, my mum and brother were crying and were literally about to break the TV.
