Regardless this hosting is nothing but a business opportunity for Iran. I expect us to make between 250-500 thousand dollars hosting three different countries.

You are wrong dude. The only profitable matches are hosting Iraq, because they have the money to pay, but I don't want us to host Iraqi team at all. We have to pay for Syrians so I only accept Afghanistan matches just because of our cultural ties and mending our relationship otherwise Afghanis have not enough money to pay us. We should just help them.

I think IFF should accept the requests and host the games for these countries. This is an act of kindness and good gestures towards our neighbours. Why not!!

Let Afghanistan use Azadi to play Japan.. if it gives them a sense of happiness cheering in thousands for their war-torn country, why not! They deserve to be happy.

          I cheer for Afghanistan.

Wrong. All the money will go to Lebanon and Palestine. Remember, their people gotta eat.

If we host Afghanistan and make each ticket one dollar equivalent I am sure that it is reasonable for the matches. Afghanistan only gets to play Japan once a decade maybe. My suggestion is much cheaper than other price ranges so far on this thread. If we host one time we could make 70,000 dollars by them attending one match.

I am all for hosting but sometimes Iranians are too hospitable. We are not bad guys for charging a miniscule price for the opportunity to Actually see their games. We are hosting after all. If we host 12 home games for other teams it makes sense that IFF would make at least $250,000. Assuming Afghanistan gets 70,000 to Azadi, 30,000 to the rest of their home games, that is already $160,000.

                  Kavian

Yes I agree with you and let's face it ,despite some of these comments we are making ,deep down inside
Iranians are one of the kindest and most hostpitalable people on earth.
Iran is hosting 4 million refugees from other nations already so hosting their football matches are a piece of
Cake and frankly good for our country,s stability in the eyes of the rest of the world.

You are assuming there are no costs associated with hosting. Are the employees at the stadium gonna get paid?
                    Regardless arogh should play elsewhere.

This is great. I think this can give Shahrestans such as Mashhad, Isfahan, Ahvaz chance of hosting matches.

Samen Stadium can be used as home for Afghanistan for all their encounters other than Japan, then Azadi for the encounter with Japan.

Ghadir Stadium can be used as home for Iraq.

Fooladshahr Stadium can be used as home for Syria.

Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj and Shiraz already have plenty of hosting experience.

1976 Asia Cup, 2002 World Cup Qualifiers, 2002 LG Cup were all hosted in Tabriz plus few Team Melli friendlies. Also Tabriz hosted Jam-e Valiahd a few times before the revolution.

Shiraz hosted few youth tournaments before the revolution and some Team Melli matches.

Let's not have Iraq play in Ahvaz. It would stir up the separatists in khuzestan

Hopefully iff don't try to be nice all of a sudden and make the japan-afg game free. They could easily make at least 500k from that game alone.

this is a positive move by our federation. it will give us more credibility to host the Asian cup in the near future.
