Not defending Kaffashian or IFF here, but the only thing I trust less than those two is the Iranian sports media. This is like the 10th reason we have heard as to why the matches won't happen...initially it was about travel arrangements and distance, and now this.

Japan maybe but asking Uzbeks for money is not all that strange. Maybe Quiroz was not jumping joy to play them or it did not fit all that well with his agenda and they decided we only do it if they pay and if they dont want to we rather use our budget for something else. We don't know the full details.

I don't understand, the same people who were saying Kaffashian was an idiot for not paying $30k to play Kenya (and that fee was reasonable) are now saying he's an idiot for asking for the exact same free from Uzbekistan to play us.
