Beside my own antipathy, this is wrong to wish.
Also, he had a big role in our appearance at WC 1998.
He didn't do jack shit to our Golden Generation, you can find players from that team all complaining about his out dated training methods and no plan. Our team won that qualifier because of our team player talents and skills. If anyone helped the team in case of finding new talent it was Stanko Paklepovic?!... I heard he brought Daei, Bagheri, Azizi, and invited Minavand, even Kia to the team.

Daei, Bagheri and Azizi were invited to TM during Parvin's time.

Minavand, Mahdavikia, Majidi, Mousavi, Yazdani,... they were all invited to TM under MK's reign.

I don't hate Mayeli Kohan. His bark is alot worse than his bite.
Media love going to him for sound bites because he makes their job easier, but he's sadly one of few honest people in Iranian football.

Daei was almost established and Bagheri was a no name who made few awful mistake in defense. After 1994 qualifiers almost all team were in ruins. Only big names had a chance but Stanko brought youth to the team and got rid of the oldies from late 80s. Both Minavand and Kia were Stanko talents in Persepolis. He brought them to Persepolis from no where. Yazdani was not a good player ever. Farhad Majidi was well player in Bahman along with Khodad. So Mayeli did nothing for Majidi but inviting to the team. Just watch the videos from Australia 1997 or after 1996 AC matches. The whole team talks shit about Mayeli because he was a worthless coach only got the job since he was Hezbol.

The backbone of Mayeli's national team was Perspolis as put together by Stanko. Seven out of the eleven starting players were from that team. He basically added Azizi and Mansourian and ignored the far superior Pashazadeh and Zarinche from Esteghlal in favor of Ostad Asadi and Falahatzadeh. He didn't even put Azizi in the starting lineup until after we lost to Iraq in our first game of AC 96 and the team was on the verge of elimination.

I also think he held back that generation much more than help it. Our potential with those guys was way more than what they achieved under him. He really just gets all his credit from TWO games. The 3-0 win against a Saudi team that had already qualified to the next round and didn't have much to play for, and the legendary 6-2 win against one of the weakest Korean sides we've ever faced (they had already lost to Kuwait 2-0 in that cup). Beyond those results, we lost to Iraq in the same tournament and couldn't score more than 1 goal in two games against Saudis and Kuwait in the semi-final and 3rd place match. And both of those were pretty even and could have gone either way.

...Then came the WCQ in 97 where we managed 1 point out of 6 against the Saudis, 2 out of 6 against Kuwait, and then lost to Qatar in the final game at which point the team had imploded under him.

The only reason he even got that job and the subsequent positions despite relegating three different teams is due to his hezbol credentials. Once the establishment sees someone as "khodi", that person will never be out of a job. They'll just bench him for a while after each failure and then bring him back in the fold.

Plus Azizi played for Persepolis on loan so it makes it almost 8 players from Persepolis.

This was our team under Parvin in 1993 with bunch of old players. Daei and Bagheri were the youngest people in that team.

Now look at the team Stanko put together over two years but Mayeli took the credit. Same story happened when Ivich made a team and Talebi got the credit in 1998.

Iran also beat Thailand 3-1. I couldn't find the video.

                      IRI = FAILED

So?! Does that justify to wish his death?
"Spaco" Paklepovic found Bagheri and Azizi that's true. Undeniable. I said MK had his role which is also undeniable. He is a nutcase but still i don't want him to RIP unlike you.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

This is what you call a classy act.

A much more noble act than wishing someone's death or beating his son (as people did in 97 after the loss to Qatar).

When a person single-handedly blocks the joy of an entire nation and ruin the future of many young talents, keep barking non sense making problems for our football coaches and NT. Someone who does whatever to have a seat of power and ruin our already weaken football with his incompetency. How many clubs he relegated and how many more youth teams should be sacrificed so this dude has his false ego? If you can not manage at least have the decency and step down or go for another career. There are plenty of places for milking just like the rest of hezbols and Sepahis are doing. Why this man should be recycled every time he fails while there are many more talented coaches without job?

If he insists on ruining our football, I want his removal peacefully by wishing him RIP in hospital.
