Not really. CQ is a professional and so far has acted in line with his contract and what made business sense to him. Nothing wrong with that either.

Unfortunately IRI and IFF haven't been able to do the same. And that is why CQ will ultimately and bitterly leave.

haha taking IRan to one world cup deserves as much credit and he certainly doesn't need another 4 years of dealing with Irans short comings (federation, hashie, other bs). He could easily get this salary with a many of the clubs that want the man as coach, and he would certainly would have a better quality of life not just for himself but also his wife.

The only 3 reasons i can think of CQ staying is

1. He sees great potential in Iran, he has realized what kind of football crazy nation we are much like Brazil. And what man wouldn't want to have a legacy of bringing a country like this to the world stage as a real contender?

2. His love for the team and people of Iran.

3. A combo of 1 & 2


As a fan of TM and CQ i will go with option 3

If it weren't for the fans, IFF would be nowhere now. The only damn reason why CQ still is in Iran is because of us, fans. The people of Iran deserve way more better than other Persian Gulf Arab states. They have facilities but no fans. We have fans but shit facilities and infrastructure.

Let's be realistic, he has a really good paid job which is one of the main reasons he stayed with Iran so far. Staying with us makes financial sense as well because in few years he is retiring.

I don't think he would make the same amount of $$ elsewhere except non-footballing countries like Qatar or UAE which aren't his type of teams to coach considering he wants at least a Round of 16 berth with Iran at the World Cup or a trophy at an Asian Cup.
