Ali Karimi was a good player and I loved him like many other TM fans, but since 2006 he has kept back-stabbing Team Melli on and off the pitch. In my books he no longer deserves any respect. He simply lacks any insight and has lost his touch with reality. The least he can do is to shut his mouth until the end of the world cup, but he does not cease to dissappoint.

Someone should ask this former cab driver, current "hero" Ali Karimi if CQ is such a bastard why did you agree to work for him in 2014??... You only discovered he's a "dallal" after you didn't get that first class plane ticket and were asked to do the same duties expected of an assistant coach? On the day this lowlife quit the TM staff he kept the team bus waiting outside as he sulked like a 14 year old girl in his hotel room. CQ actually kept the bus waiting for him for a long time out of respect, and only agreed to leave when Nekounam informed him of Karimi's decision to leave the staff.

None of the reasons offered for his resignation and fallout with CQ involve anything that indicate wrongdoing or corruption by CQ. The reasons include everything from feeling "insulted" over receiving a coach class plane ticket to feeling like he was not as "respected" as much as Nekounam, to being asked to do basic things an assistant coach does during practices. He obviously thought he was going to be "co-head coach" when CQ asked him to join the staff, and when that didn't happen his fragile ego couldn't handle it.

According to interviews given by himself a few years back, (when he had the same obsessive beef with Daei that he now has with CQ), he's basically illiterate. He can hardly read and write. Before making it as a professional player he was a cab driver around Tehran's Azadi circle. I bring that up because he has the overly narcissistic, catty personality often seen in people who go from very humble beginnings to extreme wealth and fame. A lot of times they develop a shallow, self-obsessed mentality built on two contrasting characteristics: they are extremely arrogant and egotistical, but at the same time very insecure and fragile in face of what they think is "disrespect". They basically demand to have their butts kissed all the time, and as soon as they think that's not happening they react in a very vindictive and exaggerated manner.

Karimi is simply a petty loser who thanks to football has a station in life way above his mentality and character.
