      Off Course!
The Empire of Persia stretched all the way to middle of Russia from north and to India from East and Turkey from west.
In fact, every country whose name ends with Stan (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ghazaghistan, ...etc) were all states of the Empire... Stan in old
Farsi is like the word "Ostan" meaning state or province.

While it's true that Iran is the last state of the Empire of Persia still standing in it's own sovereign state, they are all Persian.

I consider them more as our "cousins" than as Persians. I would welcome them to this board, but in general I do not think they are Persians, they are their own people, their own country, and some of them share the same language and cultural traits as us but that still doesn't make them Persian to me. Many Iranians aren't even Persian, we are very diverse, so I don't think what I am saying is wrong.

This is wrong poll. The problem is that you have not defined what you mean by Persians? Iran has always been multi cultural. Even before Aryan came to Iran, there were people living in Iran. If by Persians you mean Farsi speaking people only, your question is wrong. If by Persian, you mean people in Greater Iran, Then your question is correct. Remember that for example, the People in Azerbaijan, spoke Farsi before Mongols and Turks attached and conquered Iran and settled their capital in Azerbaijan. Race did not change. Language was forced to change. You can hardly see Turkish or Mongol looking people in Azerbaijan. It would be good to change your question in the poll first.

So, my reply is people in Tajikistan, south Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan are all Iranians ethnically.

While it's true that Iranian is a nationality, Persian is an ethnicity, not a race. Similar to the way Japanese and Vietnamese are ethnic groups but neither by itself is a race.

I clicked yes for both, but this question is incorrect. No, they are not Persians, BUT they are a Iranic people so thats why I chose both. So they are in the same family as Persians but not exactly.

They are an Iranian people though.
I basically said the exact same thing before you, so why neg repping me? wtf.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

                    We have Iranian-Arabs, Iranian-Azeri's, Iranian-Baluchi among others including Iranian-Persians...

Persian's birthplace is the province of Fars(Shiraz).

Really no one is no longer Persian as Persia no longer exists. We are Iranian.

You can go ahead and define yourself as Persian but so can Afghans, Pakistanis, etc.

When I am talking about Afghans are more relating to Tajiks, Farsiwan, and Hazara. Pashtuns are predominantly a separate ethinic like Kurds.

Sorry, I think it was an accident. My computer got screwed up at the time and I meant to click 'approve', not neg rep you. We all get trigger happy at times, so again, apologies.
If there is any way to undo it, it would be much appreciated if someone could kindly advise this novice. TY
